Kunming's hidden gem museum, the treasure of the museum is the Dizang Temple Sutra Pillar!

Kunming was once the center of the "Bronze Culture" in the Dianchi Lake Basin. It has a history of more than 2,000 years and a history of human activity for 30,000 years. As the treasure of the Kunming Museum, the Dizang Temple Sutra Pillar is placed in the most prominent position in the museum. The Dizang Temple Sutra Pillar is named after the Dizang Temple. The pillar is carved from five sections of red sandstone, 6.5 meters high, and the pillar is in the shape of a seven-story octagonal pagoda, with eaves between the levels. The round drum-shaped building under the ancient pillar is the base, and eight vivid dragons are carved on the base. Counting from the base, the ancient pillar has a total of 7 layers, with a total of 300 statues. Everyone who steps into the museum can see its exquisite patterns and carvings and feel the long history it carries. In addition to the Dizang Temple Sutra Pillar, the Western Han Dynasty Bronze Kneeling Figurine with Umbrella, the Flying Tigers Jacket, and the Blood Talisman for Help are also important collections in the museum. Other exhibition areas are very suitable for visiting with children. First floor: Asian Elephant Exhibition Area, Paleontology Exhibition Area, and Skeleton Exhibition Area. You can see specimens of animals such as dinosaurs, elephants, and bears, as well as specimens of fish, frogs, turtles, and snakes. Second floor: Mammal Exhibition Area, Aviary, and Insect Exhibition Area. The insect exhibition area is particularly recommended, as the glass exhibition path is not only full of creativity but also allows you to observe butterflies and insects up close. Third floor: Primate Exhibition Area, Temperate Zone Exhibition Area, and Tropical Rainforest Exhibition Area. The tropical rainforest exhibition area is very realistic, with even tigers strolling through the forest. There is also a cinema and a science and intelligence classroom. If you have time, you can watch a movie about the history of animals, and children can play in the science and intelligence classroom, where there are various toys to explore freely. There is also a large terrace outside, where you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire city.
