[Hokkaido] Kutchan Station, the gateway to Niseko

#0yentravel Kutchan Station is located in the Niseko area of ​​Hokkaido, and has been a popular transportation hub for the region for many years. The station building, built in the Showa era, still retains a nostalgic atmosphere, but the surrounding area is being renovated in preparation for the opening of the Shinkansen. The platform has already been replaced with a new one, and the old platform and overpass have disappeared. When I visited, I was impressed by the station's appearance, where traces of the past coexist with changes toward the future. It is also the gateway to Niseko, a popular tourist destination, and I felt that it will become an even more important station in the future.
