[Kyoto/Kawaramachi] A Japanese-style cafe where you can relax while looking out at Kawaramachi Street

🍵Ki No Oto 📍Kyoto Kawaramachi (3-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station) This time, I ordered the Koicha Mont Blanc with a drink (1,280 yen) 📝 Ki No Oto's original Koicha Mont Blanc is made with plenty of Uji matcha. The richness of the matcha hits you right from the first bite, spreading its unique deep flavor and slightly bitter taste. The matcha cream on the outside is smooth and not too sweet. The inside is filled with plumply cooked Tamba black beans and candied chestnuts, adding a wonderful texture and sweet accent. The overall balance was exquisite, without overpowering the richness of the matcha. ✨️ Although it's called "koicha," it's not overly bitter and has a richness that's perfect for matcha lovers. ☺️ I chose iced tea, but the all-you-can-drink hojicha tea is also a nice touch. After the sweet Mont Blanc, I enjoyed the roasted green tea, which left my mouth feeling refreshed and thoroughly enjoyed until the very end. As a certified Uji Tea Cafe, they also have a wide selection of Japanese teas. I was even more excited to learn that they use my favorite tea from Koyamaen. 🩵 The Mont Blanc is handmade and limited in quantity, so if you're looking for it, I recommend arriving early.
