#0yentravel Labuan Island in Malaysia, far south of Japan. It seems that the Japanese military once invaded this area. In fact, it was under Japanese jurisdiction from 1942 to 1945. On this island, there is the place where the Japanese military surrendered and handed Labuan over to Australia, which was in charge of arbitration. There is also a peace memorial built by the Japanese government, and although it is a complicated place for Japanese people, I feel it is important to know about it.
