Liuzhou Industrial Museum, learn about the city's industrial history

Many people only know about Liuzhou's Luosifen, but they don't realize that Liuzhou's industry was very impressive back in the day, once a famous industrial city. The past glory and history can be seen in the Industrial Museum. Liuzhou Industrial Museum used to be an old textile factory, and now it has become a place with indoor and outdoor exhibitions, becoming a cultural landmark of the area. Outside, there are some photo spots, such as a steam locomotive used in the 1980s, old green trains, large auto parts, etc. You can go up to the steam locomotive to experience driving it, but this requires an additional fee. The green train is a library. The indoor museum has two floors, with three large exhibition halls and an activity booth, showcasing the industrial development from the past to the present, including some physical objects and textual materials. The first floor mainly features the "Liuzhou Industrial History Hall," displaying various industrial equipment and products used and made in Liuzhou since 1902. There are also exhibits on bulb making, pharmaceuticals, iron smelting, leather goods, etc. It also introduces some stories of workers from the past. The second floor mainly talks about the new industrial developments after the reform and opening up, and some famous enterprises such as Liugong, Liutie, Wuling, etc. You can rent an audio guide at the entrance, and there is a place to store your bags. It's very cool inside, so remember to make a reservation in advance, but on-site reservations are also possible during non-peak seasons.
