Gerilya Coffee and Roastery was founded by a husband and wife team, Gerry and Julia. Both started their careers in the coffee and hospitality business as baristas in Melbourne, Australia from 2003 - 2014, before deciding to return to Jakarta in 2014. In 2016, they opened Gerilya Coffee and immediately turned into a coffee roasting company. The company started supplying coffee solutions to cafes and restaurants. In 2018, Guerrilla began to take a corporate approach to coffee solutions, including coffee beans, training equipment and services. To meet market demand, Kopi War was established in 2018 which specializes in ready-to-eat coffee outlets.
