Trynitarska Tower in Lublin - a neo-Gothic tower-bell tower is the highest historical point in Lublin. From the viewing platform, at a height of 40 meters, there is a vast panorama of the city. The name of the tower comes from the order of oo. Trinitarians who stayed in the post-Jesuit monastery buildings located near the tower. Currently, it houses the Archdiocese Museum. The Trinitarian Tower in Lublin, also known as the Trinitarian Gate, is part of the buildings of the Jesuit college. At first it was just a monastery gate. The entrance to the cathedral or school led through the gate. In 1627 it was raised and used as a belfry. After the dissolution of the Jesuit order, it passed into the hands of the Trinitarians. Although the building briefly belonged to the monks, from then on it began to be called the Trinitarian Tower. The Trinitarians, however, were a poor order. The buildings in the monastery complex began to deteriorate and needed renovation. In 1818, the city became the next owner of the building. In the 19th century, the Trynitarska Tower and the cathedral were rebuilt. Antonio Corazzi designed it in the Neo-Gothic style. It was severely damaged during World War II and rebuilt in 1945–1952. Currently, the Archdiocesan Museum is located here. The museum's collection includes religious items, paintings, icons, sculptures, fabrics, sarcophagi, musical instruments, candlesticks, a coffin portrait and other historic equipment. Since the tower is the belfry of the Lublin archcathedral, you can see 4 bells here: Michał, moved from the Lublin parish church, and the largest bell in Lublin, Maria, which sounds during special ceremonies.
