Culture weekend in Lviv

Getting There - Lviv National Opera is situated in the heart of Lviv so getting there want be a big problem. I’d recommend to walk there, rather than taking a bus or taxi. If you’re getting to this location from the railroad station - you can’t take a minibus number 31 ( the road takes about 22 minutes). Attractions - the building by itself was built in 1900. It is unique and great architecture would catch your eye easily. You’d better book a ticket online and get it before the play in the ticket box. Prices are much cheaper than in any other European country, but the quality of play still good. Hotels - I’d recommend to book a room on the Prospect Svobody or any other street in the city centre. Each neighborhood building has got remarkable architecture and street life. Food & Restaurants - you can pop in in the nearest corner and find yourself in the small street full of mini bars or authentic restaurants. Lviv is a city of coffee and beer. no need to recommend any specific just pop in the closest. Locals would be happy to see you and warmly welcome. Menus are usually in English and Ukrainian. Total price of your bill would surely satisfy you. Shopping - remember to bring Lviv’s chocolate with you! Or cheese made by local farms, or local cherry liquor that tastes incredible delicious.
