Ningxia Shahu||Shahu is located in Pingluo County, Shizuishan City, in the northern part of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, at the foot of the Helan Mountains and on the golden bank of the Yellow River. It is the largest natural lake in Ningxia. Shahu has rich and colorful tourist resources, beautiful and unique landscapes, and the seven major resources of lake water, sand mountains, reeds, birds, fish, distant mountains, and colorful lotus are organically combined. The main attractions are Shahu International Sand Sculpture Park, Bird Island (Bird Paradise), Hedong Wetland (Bird Observation Station), Xinmen District Square, and Shahu Inscription Stone. In 2013, it was selected as one of the "Top Ten Charming Wetlands in China" by CCTV, and in 2018, it was rated as one of the "Top 50 Scenic Spots of the Yellow River in China" and won the Best Ecotourism Destination of the Year in "China National Tourism" in 2018.
