Xinghuacun Inn, a warm harbor during the Spring Festival

My partner and I escaped the cold and damp of our hometown this Spring Festival and headed to Pingyao Ancient City, where we stayed at Xinghuacun Inn. This trip was amazing! When we arrived at the inn, the 500-square-meter reception hall was bright and lively. The staff greeted us warmly and helped us check in quickly. They also introduced us to some fun places nearby, which made us feel at home. The inn is like a mysterious ancient maze, with three sets of two-entry courtyards connected together. The narrow courtyard and carved doors and windows exude the charm of a Jin merchant's courtyard. The most surprising thing is the sunken courtyard underground, where the sunlight pours in, as if the history of the ancient city is contained in this small world. The room is warm and comfortable, with super-fast Wi-Fi, so you can play games and watch videos without lag. You can also take a hot shower with 24-hour hot water. After a long day, you can collapse on the bed and sleep until dawn. In our spare time, we sang in the audio-visual room, played games in the chess and card room, and drank hot tea in the tea bar. At night, we ordered two drinks at the Drunken Moon Bar on the terrace, enjoyed the night breeze, and watched the lights of the ancient city. The atmosphere was perfect. The food at the inn is also very tasty. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and can accommodate 200 people at the same time. During the Spring Festival, the inn organized activities such as writing Spring Festival couplets and making dumplings. We followed the chef's instructions to make dumplings and chatted with other tourists. It was lively and full of festive atmosphere. During our stay, my partner caught a cold. The staff not only helped us delay our check-out, but also went out to buy medicine and brought us hot millet porridge. The service was impeccable! The inn is just a few steps away from Pingyao County Government Office and the ancient city wall, making it very convenient to visit the attractions. Xinghuacun Inn was a big part of what made this trip to Pingyao so great. I highly recommend it!
