Masjid Putra: the serenity in rose

#cityplaybook The Putra Mosque, most commonly known as the Pink Mosque, is one of the mosques tourists go to. Located in Putrajaya, just south of Kuala Lumpur, this majestic mosque is famed for its unique rose-tinted granite façade that gives it a uncommon pink hue. Built in 1999, the mosque blends traditional Malay, Persian, and Middle Eastern architectural influences, featuring a 116-meter minaret, grand domes, and intricate floral motifs throughout. It can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and is set beautifully on the edge of Putrajaya Lake, offering a serene reflection of the mosque on the water’s surface. Visitors are welcome outside of prayer times, and robes are provided for respectful dress. Whether you're there to admire its architecture, take photos, or simply soak in the tranquil atmosphere, the Pink Mosque is a must-visit cultural and spiritual site in Malaysia.
