If you're already planning a trip to Queenstown, I'd like to recommend another interesting activity: kiwi bird watching. Kiwi Park is located in downtown Queenstown, right on the same route as the Skyline. You can walk there. In addition to seeing real kiwis, there are many other species to see here. There's also a conservation show. Kiwi bird viewings and shows are held at regular intervals, so it's best to check the schedule first, as they may change seasonally. Real kiwis are adorable, round, and run fast and squeaky. They're so adorable you'll want to buy a stuffed animal to take home. If you've been to New Zealand and haven't seen one, give it a try.
