China, Shanxi Ruicheng {1}

Yongle Palace, originally named Dachunyang Wanshou Palace, was built to commemorate Lv Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals. It is commonly known as Yongle Palace due to its location in Yongle Town. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and is situated 3 kilometers north of Ruicheng County, on the east side of Longquan Village. Yongle Palace was established between 1247 and 1358 AD and is the largest and most well-preserved Taoist temple in China. Along with Beijing's Baiyun Temple and Shaanxi Hu County's Chongyang Palace, it is known as one of the three ancestral courts of Quanzhen Taoism. The original site of Yongle Palace was 20 kilometers southwest of Ruicheng County in Yongle Town. In the late 1950s, due to the construction of the Sanmenxia Reservoir, Yongle Palace was located in the area to be submerged. Following Premier Zhou's instructions, the Ministry of Water Resources allocated more than 2.2 million yuan, and from 1957 to 1966, Yongle Palace was relocated in its original form to the site of the ancient Wei capital from the Western Zhou Dynasty, 2 kilometers north of the county town for preservation.
