Wat Kok Kham, an ancient temple 343 years old

Wat Kok Kham is located in Ban Ko Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. It is an old temple built in the Ayutthaya period around 2222. There are many interesting things such as the old chapel in front of which is an old pagoda that has been renovated. The architecture of the construction is in the Ayutthaya art style. The wood carving patterns on the pediment are beautiful. In addition, this temple also keeps many antiques that are said to be related to the story of Phan Thay Norasing, such as parts of the royal barge Ekkachai and the original shrine of Luang Pho Samrit, Phra Phuttha Sihing, the sacred Buddha of Samut Sakhon Province. In Thailand, there are only 4 Phra Phuttha Sihing statues, and one of them is enshrined at Wat Kok Kham. The Buddha statue is an early Chiang Saen Buddha statue, approximately 343 years old.
