Wang-gol Namseomun Jangjak Bul Gomtang 왕골남서문장

If you ever visit the town of Namyang in Hwaseong city, you must visit this place for a pot of galbi tang! Although the name of this place "gomtang" might get you thinking that you should order a gomtang(oxtail soup), ironically the "wang galbi tang(large beef rib soup)" is the most popular menu and perhaps the signature menu. The wang galbi tang consists of large beef rib bones full of meat. The meat is very soft that it comes off the bones easily. Use a pair of scissors and tongs to cut off the meat from the bones completely, and you will be able to eat the galbi tang more conveniently. We also ordered a gomtang as the restaurant name suggested, and the gomtang was decent as well. The gomtang also came with plenty pieces of thin beef and some noodles inside the soup. Add some green onions to your tangs (soups) for a richer taste.
