🌇 The Shanghai-style Spring Festival Lantern Festival at Jinchao 8 Lane has new activities every year! This year's "Snake Culture" is inspired by the fascinating snake culture stories from the myths of eight ancient civilizations around the world, including ancient legends from the East and mysterious images from the West. 💗 Five groups of giant snake lanterns fly up and down, through walls and barriers. A giant snake rises from one end of the main lane of Jinchao 8 Lane in the Binjiang Commercial Center and extends to the other end, with the visual effect extending to the Binjiang Commercial Center. Colorful folding fans and auspicious patterns complement each other, as if the snake is soaring in the clouds, or like the feathered serpent god dancing in the air, bringing the audience a rainbow-like blessing, adding warmth and vitality to the Spring Festival. This installation is called "Fan Shadow" and is inspired by the cloud-riding power of the snake in the ancient Chinese book "Xunzi: Encouraging Learning" and the feathered serpent god Quetzalcoatl, which symbolizes wind, knowledge, and life in the Aztec civilization of the Americas. The two are wonderfully connected by wind and clouds, showing the integration and resonance of ancient Asian and American civilizations. 💗 Among the trees in the north square, the installation "Lingfeng" is inspired by the long snake recorded in the "Classic of Mountains and Seas: Northern Mountains" as "its hair is like a pig's bristle, and its sound is like a drum." The work is based on its unique texture, creating a three-dimensional effect of diamond patterns through laser engraving and curved bending of colored polyethylene sheets.
