Hotel Review｜Sheraton Shanghai Jiading ✅Dining Experience - Executive Lounge Happy Hour (18:00-20:00): The number of hot dishes far exceeded expectations, completely unlike ordinary cafeteria standards, with fewer diners. The menu was diverse, featuring fish, shrimp, beef, chicken, and soups. I devoured two portions of the spicy crayfish (mildly spicy and dry, full of flavor), and the three-delicacy soup was also delicious. Other dishes were tasty too. - Afternoon Tea (14:00-16:00): Offered small cakes and three types of melons. Though the variety was limited, the cakes were quite good. - Breakfast: Served until 10 AM on weekends. The overall taste was average for Marriott standards. The oatmeal was decent, and roasted cherry tomatoes were among the few vegetable options. Not recommended if additional payment is required. The rooms are spacious with relatively new decor. Though there are minor areas for improvement—average air conditioning cooling, tissues only at the washbasin, and limited charging ports—the overall experience was positive thanks to the excellent service. Additionally, while Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading is located in Jiading District (I visit Shanghai 7-8 times a year, and this was my first time in Jiading), it’s a suitable choice for business travelers on a budget. This hotel also offers a happy hour with simple but commendable food. As a small Titanium member, I was upgraded to a junior suite with comfortable bedding. During this trip, I had a cold and cough, so I didn’t venture far. Nearby Yuanxiang Lake was perfect for a short walk. The hotel service was good, and breakfast met the standard Four Points level. At this price point, it’s highly recommended for business trips in Jiading. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: No noticeable hygiene issues; overall experience was good. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: - Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: The 60 sqm Corner View Executive Twin Room was spacious; - Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: The junior suite had a practical layout, meeting business travel needs. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: - Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Relatively new decor; basic room amenities provided; executive lounge offered dining services; minor issues like average AC cooling, limited tissues, and charging ports; - Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Comfortable bedding; happy hour dining service available. 💗Other Tips: - Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Early communication can secure preferred room types; birthday notifications may lead to special decorations; happy hour and afternoon tea are worth trying, but breakfast may be skipped if additional payment is required; - Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Members may receive room upgrades; nearby Yuanxiang Lake is great for walks; ideal for budget-conscious business travelers; - Both hotels offer commendable service; choose based on travel purpose (vacation/business).
