#summervacay During my recent trip to Shenzhen, I decided to try out the newly opened Hillman Hotel, located conveniently near the Jinguanghua International Trade area and just a short walk from Guomao Subway Station. It is also close to East Gate Pedestrian Street, making it great for evening strolls, local street food, and a bit of shopping. I wasn’t expecting too much from a budget-friendly place, but I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and comfortable my stay turned out to be. What immediately stood out to me was how smart the room was. Everything from the lights to the air-conditioning could be controlled using voice commands. One of the coolest features was the in-room projector. Instead of a traditional TV, there was a projector that turned the wall into a cinema screen. Now, to be fair — the room wasn’t huge. It’s definitely on the smaller side, especially if you’re traveling with large luggage or sharing the space. But for solo travelers who don’t plan to spend all day inside, it’s more than enough.
