Iran Persepolis It was a capital built during the Achaemenid Persian Empire, but was later destroyed by Alexander the Great. At first glance, it looks like a ruin, and is sometimes called a disappointing World Heritage Site, but the pillars, animal sculptures, and wall paintings that remain here and there give a sense of Persian history from long ago. I would like to experience this atmosphere, which is not found in Japan, again once the coronavirus has subsided.
