#preahthongneangneakstatue The largest copper statue in Cambodia (21 metres tall and weighs in total 60 tonnes) which was officially inaugurated in April,2022. Architect : H.E Ly Reaksmey, a state secretory of Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and Construction. This statues became the province’s tourist attractions and a famous place for taking pictures for local people and national and international visitors. In Khmer history, according to the legend, Preah Thong and Neang Neak were the parents, grandparents, and the first creators of the Khmer nation. Refer to the legend, one day Preah Thong led his troops to a pavilion along the beach. Because he was exhausted, he was unable to return to the palace, then decided to rest there. During that quiet night, Princess Thearavattey, the daughter of King Phuchong Neak, brought all the party members out to the pavilion to play on the mainland. When Preah Thong saw her, he immediately fell in love with her. After questioning each other, Preah Thong and Neang began to have a sincere love for each other.
