Fort Alice

#travellerswonderland A significant historical site in Sarawak. Built in 1864 by the Batang Lupar River, it served as a government administrative building during the reign of Rajah Charles Brooke, as well as to protect merchant ships from attacks from the downstream. Uniquely preserved up to present day, it now serves as a tourist attraction in Simanggang town. There are belian trees planted around the fort and an adventurous mini trail down to the Benak Waterfront.
