Kintetsu Shirako Station Area: Seaside Walk

After spending the night at the Ryokan Uokayo, I took a detour to the station for a walk. Tsuzumigaura Beach in Teraya, Suzuka City, is a historic beach that opened in 1920. With white sand, beautiful pines, and shallow waters, it is known for its location and is so spectacular that it was selected as one of the "100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Beaches." In the summer, the beach is bustling with many beachgoers and the lively voices of children can be heard. It is open from early July to late August, during which time various events such as treasure hunts, autographed ball tossing, bingo games, and rock-paper-scissors tournaments are held. It is quite rare to find a beach within walking distance of the station. It was a wonderful place where you can enjoy various activities such as fishing, seafood gourmet, and swimming.
