Shangcheng Hotpot in Taichung is the healthiest hotpot I've ever had, bar none 🤣🤣🤣 Located on the 2nd floor of the famous Sun Mall (Sun World Outlet). Using Japanese-style broth as the base, my husband chose the kombu pot, while I opted for plain water. The server brought out actual plain water (no seasoning). They offer a large variety of vegetables sourced from mountain farms, boasting 'organic' and 'high fiber' labels. There are about 30 types of small farm organic vegetables available for all-you-can-eat, with no excessive additives. It's self-service, with ingredients like burdock, tomatoes, sweet potato leaves, radish, taro, seaweed, pumpkin, corn, various mushrooms, water spinach, chrysanthemum greens, and kale. All are fresh and healthy, rich in dietary fiber and high in nutritional value. The meat quality is also commendable, with the top-grade American marbled beef being particularly excellent. The main drinks offered are winter melon lemon and pearl barley drink, both all-you-can-drink (very refreshing). Most hotpot places don't offer such drinks❗ The sauce station is noteworthy for its sesame sauce. If you choose a window seat, you can enjoy the view of Taichung Park while eating.
