YIYI NOTES.

Toronto Island is more like the locals’ backyard. Setting out from Lakeshore Pier, a 10-minute ferry ride will send you from the city center of Toronto onto the Islands, with a wide range of scenic routes to choose from for your visit. The ferry connects Toronto’s Center Island, Algonquin Island and Ward’s Island. Motorized vehicle traffic is not allowed on the island, but bikes and small boats are available for rental. This little haven of peace and quiet is tucked away from it all inside a broad swath of greenery, offering the locals of Toronto their very own private backyard and a refreshing corner to cleanse their weary souls. Ferry tickets: CAD 7.87 for adults, CAD 5.16 for teenagers less than 19 years of age and seniors. CAD 3.80 for children less than 14 years of age. Once you’ve purchased the ferry ticket, cross the pier and show your ticket to the staff. You do not need a ticket to come back to the city from the island.
