Ulaanbaatar: A Winter's Beauty on Zaisan Hill

The summit of Zaisan Hill in winter is a sight to behold—a beauty that defies description. To the south, the affluent areas stretch out, while to the west, the slums where the less fortunate live are visible. The hill is blanketed with tightly packed Mongolian yurts. Ascending the hill at -30 degrees Celsius, the cold can be numbing. As you descend before sunset towards the city center, the streets are thick with exhaust, yet the sky remains a striking blue. Traffic is dense, but there's a lack of honking—this is a city moving at a relaxed pace, and I find its charm irresistible.
