Cherry Blossoms at Osaka

Osaka Castle, one of the most popular spot for view the cherry blossom bloom, was built in 1583. The Osaka Castle Park with a castle tower at its center is considered the best place for viewing cherry blossoms in Osaka, as it was selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots" There are about 3,000 cherry trees planted in the park, including Yoshino cherry trees, mountain cherry trees, weeping cherry trees and many other kinds. You should devote half a day, or at least 2-3 hours if you want to see everything. You can also view the castle tower surrounded by cherry blossoms from Nishinomaru Park, where about 300 Yoshino cherry trees bloom. Osaka Castle is easily accessible from the JR Osakajoukoen Station (JR大阪城公園駅) or Morinomiya Station (森ノ宮駅) and then walk for 2 more minutes to get there.
