Villingen - Summer vibe #Black forest 🇩🇪

With 86000 people living there and in its sister city Schwenningen it is also a university town. The first time it was mentioned in a document was on 4th of June 817 by emperor Ludwig! It is still an untouched medieval town with its 4 entrance towers and ruins of the city wall! In Summer it is nice to stroll through the old town and have a beer and dinner on a outdoor terrace! Getting There - best by car or direct train from Constance (1hour10) or Freiburg (1hour 40) Attractions - 1. cathedral (Münster) built in 1120 (photos 3-5) 2.Cathedral fountain(Muensterbrunnen) (photo 6) 3.walk around the city wall ruins 4. Franziskaner cultural center with museum,concert hall and cafe (photo 12) 5. View tower Wanne 6. International Air museum 7. Watch industrial museum Hotels - Domero 4* in the old town we stayed at the Holiday Inn 4* between the two cities in the hospital area - good value but the breakfast is another 30 € for two Food & Restaurants - Restaurant Raben or any in the old town😎 Shopping - a one Euro shop on Niedere Straße well 1.50 for my new reading glasses so I can write this article😊 #summervacation
