Wakkanai Wonders: Driving Memories Return

#2024wish In October 2018, I embarked on an unforgettable self-driving trip to Wakkanai Park 稚内公園. Nestled on a hill offering panoramic views of the city, the park boasted iconic monuments like the Ice and Snow Gate and the memorial for the Sakhalin Huskies, Taro and Jiro. The centennial commemorative tower, combining an observation facility and a local history museum, stood proudly alongside the guesthouse "Hyosetsu," providing a free resting place. The trip was a mesmerizing blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. As I recall the breathtaking scenery and the serenity of Wakkanai Park, I can't help but yearn for another visit. In 2024, I wish to go there again.
