Old Airport Lane is a gastronomic haven, a street lined with a variety of delectable eateries. Among them, one establishment stands out for its understated facade, yet surprisingly, two large trees grow within its premises🤭. This unique feature sets it apart from the rest. I've had Korean cuisine numerous times, but this is my first encounter with Yanbian food, and I'm filled with anticipation. Yanbian Rice Sausage with Dip: Unlike the rice sausages from the south, these have a softer and stickier texture. When served hot, they are delightfully glutinous. Once cooled, they become chewier, offering a more robust eating experience. Signature Beef Pot: The beef is served in large chunks, devoid of any gamey taste. A sip of the hot soup followed by a bite of the beef provides a comforting warmth, especially in this chilly, rainy weather. Braised Pollock: Having never tried pollock before, I found its texture quite unique. The meat is slightly tough, but when coated in a layer of sauce, it becomes even more delicious.
