One Day Tour to the South of Tibet Lhasa→Samye Monastery→Changzhu Monastery→Dorje Drak Monastery

At 6 am, on the street right opposite the Jokhang Temple, you can see the buses going to various monasteries on the side of the street. Samye Monastery is over 3400 meters above sea level. Lhasa→Samye Monastery one-way trip is 60 yuan, buy the ticket on the bus. Buses depart when full, approximately arriving at Samye Monastery around 8:40 am. After arriving at Samye Monastery, you can buy a return ticket for the same day, with the return time at 1:30 pm. Next to the bus station, there is the Samye Monastery Restaurant, offering Tibetan noodles, sweet tea, and other delicacies. You can have breakfast at the Samye Monastery Restaurant. Samye Monastery is the first monastery in Tibet that has the three treasures of Buddhism: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Highlights: The main hall's first floor has the statue of Guru Rinpoche. The second floor has a retreat room (requires climbing a ladder) and a treasure museum (with Guru Rinpoche's demon-subduing seal). On the second floor of the main hall, you can get a cloth strip stamped with Guru Rinpoche's demon-subduing seal. The stairs inside the main hall are steep, so be careful. The incense inside the monastery is very good, and you can buy some to take back. The bus back to Lhasa departs at 1:30 pm, and the ticket is 60 yuan. It stops at Changzhu Monastery and Dorje Drak Monastery on the way. Changzhu Monastery highlights: On the first floor, the most inner hall, to the right of the entrance, is the eloquent Tara. On the second floor, the main hall has a Guanyin made of pearls. After leaving Changzhu Monastery, head to Dorje Drak Monastery, which is built on a hillside and requires climbing. Those with poor physical strength can wait below. Note: Bring a mask, as the wind in the south of Tibet is strong in the afternoon, and there is a desert in the south of Tibet, which can cause sandstorms in the afternoon.
