A day in the Avatar Mountains (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park)

✨ My One-Day Itinerary at the Park ✨ If you’re short on time but still want the full experience, here’s how I did the entire recorrido in just one day—and had an amazing time! 🚪 I entered through the East Gate right when the park opened (between 7–8 a.m., highly recommend getting there early!). ⬆️ I took the glass elevator up to the first scenic area and made sure to stop at every single viewpoint—totally worth it. 🚌 To move around, I hopped on the free shuttle buses inside the park (super convenient!). 🚠 And finally, I took the cableway down, which brought me right back to the East Entrance where I started. Perfect loop! ⸻ Tips & Recommendations This park is huge—like, really huge. If you have more time, I 100% recommend spreading your visit over two or even three full days. That way, you can take your time, soak it all in, and not rush through anything. Another route you can take is starting with the cableway up, doing the scenic recorrido, and ending by coming down another way. But if you’re doing it all in a day, I’d still stick with the route I took—it flowed super well!
