The Zurich Cathedral

The Zurich Cathedral is famous for its unique Romanesque twin towers, hence the name Twin Towers or Grosse Cathedral, which is the landmark of Zurich. The Zurich Cathedral was built in the Carolingian period around 1100 AD. According to legend, Charlemagne discovered the tombs of the Zurich martyrdoms Felix and Regula, where a monastery for choir singers was built. In the first half of the 16th century, the religious revolution in the German-speaking part of Switzerland began in the Zurich Cathedral.
