The monkey here is so fat! !
is really good fat! !
This is the first impression I saw when I saw the Monkey Mountain in Wulongkou. I havent been to the Monkey Garden yet. The monkeys that came out on the way, the hair color is flowing, just like just finishing the care, then With the fat body, this sentence is really born. After coming to the Monkey Garden, there is an old lady who said that the monkeys are very familiar with the monkeys. When he said the collection, the monkey of the monkey group began to call, the voice was a bit sharp, we could not touch the monkey, but Old age, their family has always been a volunteer of the macaque, it is already the second generation, and his son has inherited this responsibility.
Leaving the Monkey Park, we climbed 596 steps and took the elevator to the middle of the mountain. When we first came up, we were robbed by a monkey called Da Zhuang. It was a monkey king. The defeated monkey can only live on his own. Da Zhuang is really fat, and his IQ is high. He will open the bottle cap himself.

Yuhuang Temple, Jincheng, Shanxi
[Explore the Ancient Charm of Jincheng Yuhuang Temple]
Nestled in the embrace of the Taihang Mountains lies a treasure trove of millennia-old history and culture: Jincheng Yuhuang Temple. This is not only an important holy site of Taoist culture, but also an outstanding representative of ancient architecture in northern China. Yuhuang Temple is located in the southeast corner of Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It was built during the Tang and Song dynasties and has undergone several renovations and expansions. It still retains the architectural styles of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
Upon entering Yuhuang Temple, the first thing that catches your eye is the majestic main hall. The main hall is built in the traditional wooden structure, with flying eaves and a magnificent atmosphere. Inside, the highest deity of Taoism, the Jade Emperor, is enshrined. The murals on the surrounding walls are vivid, telling many classic Taoist stories, making people feel as if they have traveled through time and space back to that mysterious Taoist world.
In addition to its exquisite architecture, Yuhuang Temple is also rich in cultural connotations. The ninth day of the first lunar month is the birthday of the Jade Emperor. On this day, a grand sacrificial ceremony is held in the temple, attracting many believers to pray and make wishes. In addition, this is also an indispensable stop for studying ancient Chinese religion, philosophy, and art.
The environment around Yuhuang Temple is beautiful, with clear mountains and rivers and distinct seasons. In spring, everything comes back to life and peach blossoms bloom; in summer, the trees are lush and the breeze is cool; in autumn, the forests are dyed in layers of colors; in winter, the snow covers the ground like a fairyland. Whether you are meditating alone or playing with family and friends, it is a great choice.
Jincheng Yuhuang Temple is not only a religious site, but also a living history museum. Here, every brick and stone tells stories of the past, and every mural displays ancient wisdom. Why not take some time to visit this mysterious land and feel the peace and beauty?
I discovered a big secret in a hidden gem of a city in Shanxi.
📍Attraction address: Zezhou Road North, Chengqu District, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province
🚗Attraction transportation: Car, Bus 28
👍️Must-see attractions: Baima Temple Dragging, Baima Zen Temple, Jinggong Tower, Stone Buddha Statue, Heilongtan, Tourist Slide
In the ancient and mysterious land of Shanxi, there is a place called Jincheng Baima Temple, which is like a shining pearl, exuding a unique light.
Baima Temple is located on the top of Baima Temple Mountain, 5 km north of Jincheng City. Baima Temple Mountain is also known as Sima Mountain, and it is said that Sima Yi, the Marquis of Changping, climbed this mountain during the Three Kingdoms period, hence the name. Later, a temple was built on the top of the mountain, named Baima Zen Temple, so it was renamed Baima Temple.
Legend has it that the Black Dragon King here married a woman from Niushan Village, so the elders said that the people of Niushan should call the Dragon King "uncle" here. It is also said that praying for rain here is very effective. In the past, a "Zhu official" with the surname "Zhu" in Zezhou Prefecture, in order to thank the Black Dragon King, stipulated that official opera should be performed here, and so on. The Black Dragon Temple in Heilongtan has been destroyed, and in recent years, the villagers have raised funds to rebuild a small temple on the old site. Heilongtan, together with the development of the 100-acre rose garden in Niushan Village, will become a unique and beautiful landscape in the forest park.
When you step into Baima Temple, it feels like you have traveled through time and space. The first thing that catches your eye is the ancient and solemn architecture, with red walls and green tiles shining brightly in the sunlight, and the flying eaves and dougong are exquisite and unique. Every detail shows the unparalleled exquisite craftsmanship of the ancients. The carefully carved patterns seem to tell stories of the past, and you can't help but imagine the countless craftsmen who poured their hearts and souls into creating this amazing architectural style in the distant past.
The natural scenery around Baima Temple is also breathtaking. Surrounded by green mountains and shaded by green trees, it complements the temple's architecture, creating a picturesque scene. In the early morning, the mist lingers, and the temple seems to be in a fairyland; in the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the temple, adding a touch of golden color to the whole picture. According to incomplete statistics, the number of tourists to Baima Temple can reach tens of thousands during holidays.
Here, you can feel peace and tranquility, and the hustle and bustle of the world seem to be left behind. Baima Temple is like a haven for the soul, allowing the weary soul to rest for a moment. Whether you are a scholar interested in history and culture or a traveler seeking spiritual comfort, you can find your own insight and tranquility in this temple.

Zhengzhou weekend family-friendly self-drive tour to Jincheng and the southern Taihang Mountains.
Zhengzhou - Southern Taihang Mountains self-drive route - Jincheng
We set off at around 10:30 am on Saturday. Although the journey was long and the mountain roads made the elderly feel carsick, the trip was really fun. The water in Wujiayuan is very clear, perfect for skipping stones. There is a go-kart track by the water, which is much cheaper than those in the city, CNY 30 for 2 laps and CNY 50 for 4 laps. It sounds like a tractor, but the kids love it.
Navigate to Heimaogou Grand Canyon, and you will see this small waterfall. There is a path to the water, which is very clear and fun. It must be great in summer.
There are bamboo rafts on the way to Heimaogou Grand Canyon, CNY 60 per boat, with a maximum of five people. The boat is quite stable, and there is no time limit. It feels like a good deal, but it is a bit cold.
Then we left the southern Taihang Mountains and went straight to Jincheng. We had dinner at Ten Small Bowls. There were not many people, so we ordered small portions, so we could try more dishes. The millet rice is not recommended, as it is tasteless, but the texture is okay.
On Sunday, we had meatball soup and visited the Jade Emperor Temple and the Guandi Temple. They are very quiet places, but not recommended for kids. Overall, I don't recommend coming here. We wanted to go to the Royal Prime Minister's Palace, but we didn't have enough time. If you want to go, just go to the Royal Prime Minister's Palace.
Overall, the Jincheng itinerary was a bit boring, not as fun as the southern Taihang Mountains, but it left some regrets, so we will want to come back next time.
Jingde Bridge, Jincheng | Still standing strong after 800 years of floods.
| Still standing strong after 800 years of floods. Jingde Bridge, also known as Xida Bridge, is one of China's famous ancient bridges. It was once called Qinyang Bridge because it led to Qinyang and Yangcheng. Jingde Bridge spans the Qinshui River outside the west gate of Jincheng City and is adjacent to Jingxi Road. It connects the roads on both sides of the river and still serves as a transportation aid today. It was built in the 29th year of the Dading era of the Jin dynasty and has a history of over 800 years. Jingde Bridge is solidly built and remains standing even when floods overflow the bridge deck.
The main arch of Jingde Bridge is decorated with exquisite reliefs of animal heads, sea horses, dragons, sea waves, and chi heads. The carvings are delicate, the layout is rigorous, and the images are vivid. Despite 800 years of weathering, they are still clearly visible. There are four dragon heads protruding from the side walls at the 1/4 arch position, two on each side. The bridge deck is paved with bluestone and has a slight arc in the longitudinal direction. The railings on both sides consist of three main parts: the railing board, the baluster, and the drum, all made of stone. Jingde Bridge has withstood 800 years of weathering, floods, and earthquakes.

Follow Wukong to Shanxi | Jincheng Jade Emperor Temple
The sun shines through the ancient eaves and falls on the bluestone slabs of Jincheng Jade Emperor Temple. I stepped into this long-standing Taoist holy land, full of expectation and curiosity.
🏛️ Echoes of History 🏛️
Standing in front of the temple gate, I looked up at the flying eaves and corners that still stand after the wind and frost, as if I could hear the echoes of the craftsmen in the Northern Song Dynasty. Every step forward is like crossing the gulf of time and having a spiritual dialogue with the ancients.
📸 Beauty of Architecture 📸
Walking among the temples, I was attracted by its symmetrical and harmonious architectural layout. The buildings on the central axis unfold in turn, like a beautiful picture scroll. Every carving, every line, reveals the superb skills of ancient craftsmen and the pursuit of beauty.
🧭 Find the Story 🧭
I shuttle between the halls, carefully examining the statues of the Jade Emperor and the colored sculptures of the 28 star monarchs. These lifelike images seem to tell me the legends of Taoism and the changes of history.
🎮 Intersection of Games and Reality 🎮
Speaking of "Black Myth: Wukong", I couldn't help but think of the impressive scenes in the game. It turns out that the sculptures of Kang Jinlong and Xu Rishu in the game are based on here! This blend of virtual and reality makes me have a deeper understanding of the cultural value of the Jade Emperor Temple.
The trip to Jincheng Jade Emperor Temple made me deeply appreciate the charm of ancient Chinese architecture and the profoundness of Taoist culture. With the help of "Black Myth: Wukong", this ancient temple is rejuvenating. If you are also interested in history and culture, why not come here and feel it!

Shanxi Jincheng, I'm tired of saying "impressive".
Who would have thought that Jincheng in Shanxi has 72 national cultural relics protection units! We spent two and a half days and visited 15 national cultural relics protection units to get a rough idea of the essence of Jincheng's national cultural relics protection units. The word "impressive" was always on our lips, and we were tired of saying it! Without further ado, let's share our itinerary and travel tips~
·
📍 Jincheng 2~3-day National Cultural Relics Protection Unit Essence Route:
Day 1: Zezhou Dai Temple - Xiaonancun Erxian Temple - Qinglian Temple - Yuhuang Temple - Fucheng Guandi Temple - Xilimen Erxian Temple - Chongming Temple
Day 2: Youxian Temple - Xianweng Temple - Wangbao Erlang Temple - Dinglin Temple - Gaoping Iron Buddha Temple - Xixi Erxian Temple - Kaihua Temple
Day 3: Yangtoushan Grottoes - Go to Changzhi
(PS. We drove ourselves, but our schedule was quite tight. If you're worried about not having enough time, you can adjust it.)
·
Here are some of our favorites~
🔻Xiaonancun Erxian Temple
The exquisite and intricate wooden palace and pavilion of the Northern Song Dynasty are breathtaking and leave you speechless. The large wooden structure is also impressive.
🔻Qinglian Temple
Upper Temple: The Buddha and Bodhisattva in the Sakyamuni Hall and the Sixteen Arhats in the Luohan Hall are all masterpieces of Northern Song Dynasty colored sculptures.
Lower Temple: The Tang Dynasty sculptures are simple and ancient, and the Song Dynasty proportions are perfect.
🔻Yuhuang Temple
Finally saw the Twenty-Eight Constellations! Yuhuang Temple is very popular and has many visitors. There are also many exquisite colored sculptures, Chengtang Hall, Yuhuang Hall, Thirteen Yao Stars, Twelve Yuanchen... All open, don't miss it😭.
🔻Chongming Temple
Originally closed, thanks to the cultural relics protection officer who came back to open the door. The moment the door opened, the oldest surviving Northern Song Dynasty wooden structure came into view, with its deep eaves and Tang Dynasty style, so moving that I almost cried!
🔻Xianweng Temple
Coming to Zhang Guolao Temple, I saw the murals on the walls, which are well preserved. The "Tang Xuanzong Taishan Fengchan Tu" is a masterpiece.
🔻Gaoping Iron Buddha Temple
It's too 🔥, you can't make an appointment online, but you can queue up on the spot to get a number. The Twenty-Four Devas are so beautiful, I queued up several times and finally saw enough.
I came out and bought iron plate shabu-shabu bean skin, sat under the tree and watched the Iron Buddha Temple eat bean skin, which felt like a time travel.
🔻Kaihua Temple
The Mahavira Hall is a Northern Song Dynasty building, and the Northern Song Dynasty murals in the hall are colorful and known as the "清明上河图" of murals. The cultural relics protection officer was very enthusiastic.
🔻Yangtoushan Grottoes
Highly recommended! The Northern Dynasty grottoes scattered in the mountains are very impressive. The process of finding the grottoes is also very interesting.
🚗Transportation: Self-driving or chartered car is recommended.
🛌Accommodation: It is recommended to stay in Jincheng and Gaoping City.
🥘Food: Lige Zha is delicious! It's made with vermicelli, meat, and cabbage, and it's especially fragrant. Meatball instant noodles are also very fragrant, recommended.
·
👇Tips:
Jincheng is too real, all of the above cultural relics protection units are free to visit (except Dinglin Temple, which requires a ticket to the Daling Mountain Scenic Area). Cultural relics protection work is not easy, so it is recommended to make a donation.

Explore the treasures of history, the legendary story of Guoyu Ancient City
Explore the treasures of history, the legendary story of Guoyu Ancient City🏰📜✨
In 1640, a majestic watchtower stood tall in Guoyu Village, Yangcheng County, Jincheng City. It is not only the guardian of the village but also a symbol of wisdom and courage.🛡️✊🏼
**Dialogue between ancient castles and modern skyscrapers🗨️**
A dialogue through time, how is this ancient watchtower different from modern skyscrapers? Let's find out!🔍
**Witness of history🏰**
Guoyu Ancient City, an ancient village built in the Tang Dynasty, every brick and stone tells the story of time. In the eighth year of the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1635), to resist foreign invasions, the gentry of Guoyu joined forces to build this solid defensive castle.
**Pioneer of defense in Chinese villages⚔️**
The design of this castle is a perfect combination of practicality and science, making it a model of easy defense and difficult offense. The city wall is 12 meters high and 1400 meters in circumference, with spacious passages on top. Thirteen watchtowers, like sentinels, guard this land.
**Reputation as the "Honeycomb City"🐝**
The city is densely packed with cave dwellings, layered upon each other, totaling 627, earning it the nickname "Honeycomb City." Three city gates guard the village, with the east gate "Jingyang Gate" being the daily passage for villagers.
**Yu Tower - The fortress within the fortress🏰**
Five years after the completion of Guoyu City, a "Yu Tower" stood tall in the center of the village. It is not only a watchtower within the castle but also the core of defensive power built according to the principles of the Eight Trigrams.
**The mystery and power of Yu Tower🔑**
Yu Tower is 30 meters high with a seven-story structure. The base wall is 2 meters thick, decreasing with each level, with the topmost wall being only 0.8 meters thick. Inside the tower, there are hidden underground passages leading outside the city, serving as secret escape routes. The cannon ports on the tower are powerful tools for both offense and defense.
**Self-sufficient fortress🌾**
Yu Tower is fully equipped with facilities such as stone mills, water wells, and stoves, ensuring self-sufficiency even when besieged by enemies.
**The watchtower in the center of the castle👁️**
Yu Tower stands like a watchtower in the center of the castle, overlooking all directions, commanding the entire village, making Guoyu Fortress impregnable.
**Cradle of flourishing culture📚**
Despite its remote location, Guoyu Village has a thriving cultural atmosphere. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it produced countless outstanding talents whose deeds are still celebrated today.
Let's travel through the river of time together, exploring those ancient relics carved by the years, and feel the weight and charm of history.
Jincheng Museum, telling the story of the ancient city of a thousand years
Jincheng in Shanxi was the last stop of our self-driving tour and also the last day of the holiday. In order to understand the past and present of this small city located at the southeastern gateway of Shanxi in the shortest time, we chose to go to Jincheng Museum.
Jincheng is an ancient city with a profound history. The 'Ancient Civilization of Jincheng' exhibition on the third floor of the museum and the 'Ancient Architectural Art of Jincheng' exhibition on the fourth floor, with a large number of prehistoric relics and existing famous castles, tell the story of the city's origin.
The ancient city is located in the southeastern part of Shanxi Province, in a basin surrounded by mountains. In ancient times, it was successively known as Jianxing, Zezhou, and Zezhou Prefecture. The later name of Jincheng was derived from the relocation of Duke Jing of Jin to this place at the end of the Spring and Autumn period.
Historical research shows that as early as 20,000 years ago, there were traces of human reproduction in the Dan River and Qin River basins flowing through the city. The unique geographical environment has preserved the historical relics left or unearthed in this region very intact, allowing later generations to understand the city's most commendable 'ancient architectural art'.
The 'Ancient Civilization of Jincheng' exhibition starts from the late Paleolithic period 20,000 years ago, talking about the relics and sites distributed in the city such as Guoyu Fort, Xiangyu Fort, Ningyuanzhai, Xiwenxing Village, Lianghucun, etc.; it tells the story of the 'filial piety' culture in the golden tombs; it discusses the unique cultural phenomenon of colored glass figurines buried with the dead in ancient Chinese burial systems, as well as the culture of ancient temples, giving us a deep understanding of this ancient city.
In the Ancient Architectural Art of Jincheng exhibition hall, the surviving wood and stone carvings are exquisite and grand, making us deeply feel the profound historical heritage of the city's ancient architectural art.
The thematic exhibition 'Hometown of Coal and Iron' in the east and west exhibition halls on the second floor of the museum made us understand the city's rich coal and iron resources, thus filling us with confidence and expectation for its economic strength and development prospects.
The oldest temple in the country dedicated to the worship of Emperor Yan
Gu Zhong Temple is the oldest temple in Gaoping and even the whole country dedicated to the worship of Emperor Yan, the ancestor. It is a brick-wood structure, exquisite and elegant, with significant cultural relic value.
According to the inscription in the Gu Zhong Temple from the 12th year of the Ming Wanli period (1584): "In the 12th year of the Ming Dynasty, the Gu Zhong Temple of Emperor Yan was decreed to be built in Xiaotai Village, Shangdu Zhongtai South Lane, Fengyi Township, Gaoping County, Zezhou, Shanxi Province," also known as the Zhong Temple of Emperor Yan, located in Shennong Town. The Yan Emperor Temple is divided into High Temple, Upper Temple, Middle Temple, and Lower Temple. Yangtou Mountain is the High Temple, where Shennong tasted grains; Huanma Ridge is the Upper Temple, where Shennong's tomb is located; Xiatai Village is the Middle Temple, adjacent to the Yan Emperor's palace; Dongguan is the Lower Temple, near the county seat of Dongguo.
Gu Zhong Temple faces south and is divided into upper and lower courtyards. On the central axis, there are the mountain gate, the beamless hall, and the main hall. On both sides, there are side rooms and auxiliary halls. Outside the mountain gate, there are four opera stages on each side, and on the west side of the mountain gate, there is a brick-arched side door with the inscription "Yan Emperor Zhong Temple," which was originally the entrance to the temple. The beamless hall, also known as the Prince's Hall, is the main building of Gu Zhong Temple. It has a single room, square in shape, with a single-eave hip roof, five-purlin brackets, round wooden columns, large beams, and a nine-ridge roof covered with ordinary tubular tiles. The main hall has three rooms in width, with three auxiliary halls on each side, six rafters in depth, a single-eave suspended hill roof, five-step double-eave brackets on the column heads, simple tile roofs, and glazed ridge decorations.
According to the book "Yingzao Fashi," the side feet of the columns should tilt inward by 8/1000 of the column height in the direction of the two hills. The columns of the beamless hall tilt inward significantly. The architectural style of the beamless hall is unique and is the earliest preserved building related to the worship of Emperor Yan in the country. The caisson ceiling is octagonal in shape, with a hanging lotus column in the middle. The column head has five-purlin brackets, and the base of the column is made of plain square surfaces, decorated with lattice panels. Above the hanging lotus column, there are brackets supporting the ridge finial, which is a Yuan Dynasty hanging flower structure, simple and plain in texture. Inside the beamless hall, there is also a Ming Dynasty stone tablet embedded in the wall, named "Record of the Construction of the Prince and Descendants Hall of Emperor Yan."
Transportation: Take bus 808 from Gaoping Shennong Bus Station to Xinrong Community, then walk a few hundred meters.

A high-end hotel in the small town, bringing you the enjoyment of life
After coming out of the Imperial City Mansion scenic area, we drove straight to Jincheng Haitian Hotel. The hotel is located in a bustling area, not far from the Jincheng Museum we are going to visit. The huge wedding banquet sign in front of the hotel tells people that this is where the town's wedding banquets are concentrated.
Walking into the lobby, one can't help but be dazzled by the atrium ceiling, the layers of circular guest rooms, resembling a giant ship. Standing high and looking down at the hotel, the floor seems like a deck, very creative. The spacious and bright Haitian Hotel is quite eye-catching in the small town.
Compared to guest rooms in other areas, what fascinated my three-year-old grandson the most was the room's intelligent control system. With simple language, one can conveniently and quickly draw different types of curtains, turn on and off various indoor lights, and the TV, which is amazing in the eyes of children.
Besides the hotel's luxurious decoration and intelligent control, the most impressive thing about the hotel is the buffet. During our self-driving tour in Henan and Shanxi, we stayed in several hotels, but only this hotel's buffet was very distinctive: first, the restaurant is elegantly decorated and has ambiance; second, there is a wide variety of staple and side dishes. There are homemade noodles, Western pastries, local snacks, and dishes including hot dishes, cold salads, meat dishes, and egg custards, dazzling to the eye. To taste each dish one by one, probably only the 'big stomach king' from movies could do it.
The variety of drinks in the restaurant is also exceptionally numerous, with milk tea, fruit juice, sparkling water, soy milk, and milk available. What makes the children happiest is the torch ice cream available here. Compared to other hotels, the variety of fruits is also more diverse, with apples and crispy dates that northerners like, as well as tropical fruits that southerners prefer, making breakfast a day full of vitality.
As our self-driving tour comes to an end, although we are somewhat tired from the journey, staying at the small town's Haitian Hotel has brought us high-quality life enjoyment, washing away the dust of the road and bringing full-hearted joy.
