2025 Jordan Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in May)
Jordan is an oasis of stability in an often troubled region. Bordering Israel and Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, Jordan occupies an unenviable position in the Middle East. In the capital Amman, visitors can tour the ancient Roman Amphitheater or visit the magnificent King Abdullah Mosque. The Royal Automobile Museum is also popular. To the west is the Dead Sea and the Ma'in Hot Springs. In the south, you will find the world-famous archeological ruins at Petra, which featured in the 1989 film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." Finally, venture into the harsh desert valley at Wadi Rum to see Jordan’s spectacular landscapes.

Staying in Amman, the capital of Jordan
I stayed in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
It takes about an hour to get to Amman from the border by land from Israel.
I get the impression that all Jordanians are gentlemen, quiet, and extremely hospitable.
They have good manners and are polite.
In addition, prices are much cheaper than in Israel and the food is outstandingly delicious.
You can enjoy touring old ruins, and there are also modern shopping malls, so I think Jordan is a good choice for beginners to Middle Eastern travel.

I believe that Jordan is a country that is unfamiliar to many people, just like me. I was completely shocked when I set foot in Petra. How could there be such a beautiful place and it is so well preserved? I am often asked if it is worth going to Cape Town, South Africa, I would recommend Petra in Jordan 😍

Optional Fish Sashimi Rice
The facade of this small Japanese shop is decorated in Japanese style. The restaurant is not very big when you enter, but the seats are spaced.
The lunch menu includes take-away orders and self-selected sashimi rice. Self-selected sashimi allows you to choose what you like to eat, so we chose this to match ourselves. And Monday to Thursday 12:00-17:30 lunch in-house 8% discount on selected sashimi rice!
▶️ Medium tow $50 / Scallops $30 / Tuna fillet $30 / Mussels $20 / Salmon $20 / Rice $15
Total $165
The bowl of sashimi rice is not too big, but there is a lot of rice inside. The sashimi is spread all over the top, which looks very rich. I like to eat scallops quite thick, but the mussels are quite refreshing. There are two small pieces of medium tofu, so plump!
▶️ Oily fish fillet $30/Octopus $20/Tuna fillet $30/Tuna $30/Rice $15
$15 with appetizer, bean curd soup
Total $140
The bean curd soup is quite rich and warm. The salad vegetables are quite fresh.
The tuna loin is thickly sliced and has a bite of meat. I like the tuna loin with rice. It's satisfying enough.
▶️ Gillette Soft Shell Crab Reverse Roll $88
The rice rolls are big enough, the soft shell crab is fragrant enough, not too oily.
There are no beverages available here, so you can choose green tea tea bags or other canned, bottled beverages. We wanted tea🫖 for sashimi so we chose two tea bags🍵$5/person
It's good to eat sashimi and rolls in this weather. It's good to have a tea to warm your stomach!
Takeaway offers (this offer is sushi only): $20 off $150, $70 off $300, $150 off $500

High cost performance with jacuzzi @woodenland
Stayed in Mudi several times, this is the first time I stayed in this room type
$450/HKD per night on Saturday, located on Nathan Road near the junction of Yau Ma Tei and Jordan, it is really convenient!
There is also a bathtub🛁 and it is a jacuzzi, so it is cost-effective!
This is a pretty good room type, I prefer the modern one
Drinks at the mini bar are free
But the waiter at the front desk who asked for an ice bucket today might be new? ! They said there was no large ice bucket available, only one size. Fortunately, the waiter also brought me a large one!

Eat very full, go home with a big belly | Jordan Huowu Vietnamese Beef Noodle Shop
Last Friday I had an appointment with my old colleagues to get together. He wanted to eat Vietnamese food, so he chose the Fire Five Vietnamese Beef Noodle Specialist in Jordan.
The location is very convenient, within about 5 minutes walk from the MTR.
We ordered the Fire Five Locomotive Beef Noodles, Fried Soft Shell Crab Laksa, Oyster Sauce Tang lettuce, Lemongrass Chicken Wings, Iced Salted Lemon Soda and Iced Vietnamese Coconut Ice.
Fire Five Locomotive Beef Powder has raw beef, cooked beef, wagyu beef balls and sticky rice. Raw or cooked beef tastes fresh and delicious. As for the Wagyu beef balls, more full of fat, full of Wagyu feeling. Plus the sticky rice is really rich, full of satisfaction.
The soup has the sweet taste of Vietnamese flour, and the portion of beef flour is very large.
Fried Soft Shell Crab Laksa Crispy fried soft shell crab with sweet and sour lemongrass to increase your appetite, perfect for summer.
How can you not eat lemongrass food when you eat Vietnamese food?
Lemongrass chicken wings with fresh lemongrass flavor and tender meat.
Iced salted lemon soda The sweet soda is mixed with salted lemon meat, very refreshing~
Iced Vietnamese Coconut Juice The fresh and sweet coconut juice paired with the refreshing coconut meat is a great choice to relieve the heat in summer.
The small Vietnamese shop is like a lie-in trip to Vietnam, and it is very affordable.
My friend and I both ate very full and went home with our big bellies.

I finally
I finally got a card in the old city of Petra, which is popular in the air! God knows what has happened in order to take this photo! I wore a wedding dress and climbed up the hill with my four feet. When I saw the ancient city at my feet, everything was worth it!
The ancient city of Petra (9 BC - 40 AD) is a historic city in southern Jordan. It is one of the mysterious ancient cities in the desert of southern Jordan and one of Jordan's most prestigious historic sites. On July 8, 2007, he was selected as the new Seven Wonders of the World.

In a world that often expects softness, the cactus stands tall, unapologetically tough. It doesn’t bloom every day, and it doesn’t beg for attention—but it survives, thrives, and grows in conditions others might wither in. There’s something powerful about that kind of resilience—about being able to flourish quietly, even when the environment is harsh. Maybe we’re all a little like cacti—stronger than we look, beautiful in our own way, and full of life, even when the outside world only sees our thorns.”

Rooted in beauty, reaching for the skies
#cherryblossom25
There’s something almost magical about standing beneath a beautiful tree. Its towering presence commands both respect and admiration, yet it offers comfort like an old friend. The way the sunlight filters through its canopy, casting intricate patterns on the ground, feels like a secret language shared only between nature and those willing to pause and listen. Each leaf, vibrant and full of life, dances softly in the breeze, whispering stories of seasons past. Its bark, rugged and worn, tells tales of strength, survival, and quiet patience. In spring, it bursts into color, a celebration of new beginnings. In autumn, it sheds its leaves in a graceful surrender to change. No matter the season, the tree remains a steadfast witness to the passage of time. It reminds us that beauty isn’t always loud or fleeting — sometimes it stands firm, grows slowly, and weaves itself into the very fabric of its surroundings. A beautiful tree is more than just a part of the landscape; it’s a symbol of endurance, serenity, and hope. To simply stand near one is to feel connected to something timeless and deeply rooted in the heart of the earth.

🗓️Itinerary Scheduling:
Exploring Madaba in Jordan
This time, I arranged half a day to explore Madaba in Jordan. This small town is famous for its exquisite mosaic art and is known as the 'City of Mosaics'.
The first stop was St. George’s Church, which houses the oldest map of the Middle East in the world—the Madaba Map. This mosaic map, depicting the Holy Land in the 6th century AD, is an important artifact for understanding ancient geography. Although parts of it have been damaged, you can still clearly see details such as Jerusalem and the Jordan River, which is very impressive.
Next, we went to the Madaba Archaeological Park, which showcases more well-preserved mosaic floors, as well as Roman and Byzantine ruins, giving a sense of the city's historical depth.
Finally, we walked through the alleys of the old town, admired local handicrafts, enjoyed the leisurely atmosphere, and had a traditional Jordanian meal. Madaba may be small, but its rich cultural heritage and unique art make it well worth a visit!
