Pompeii Archaeological Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Pompeii Ruins 🇮🇹
#timetotravel
My journey through Pompeii Archaeological Park was an immersive step into the past. Located near Naples, this ancient city buried by Mount Vesuvius' eruption was a captivating window into daily life in Roman times. As I wandered the cobbled streets, the remarkably preserved houses, temples, and amphitheater evoked a sense of awe and melancholy. The casts of human figures frozen in time were haunting yet poignant. The park's expansive layout and its accessible visiting hours allowed me to explore its wonders at my own pace. Pompeii Archaeological Park wasn't just a ruin; it was a living history lesson that transported me to a world long gone, while reminding me of the impermanence of life.

Walking in the suggestive rests of Pompeii
Pompeii is an ancient roman city, which in 79 A.C. was buried by the lava erupted from the Vesuvius Volcano.
I think Pompeii is a must see site when in Naples. it’s really suggestive how well preserved it is. once inside the side you can really feel the life that was once there.
Getting There - it’s quite easy from Naples. just get the Circumvesuviana train line to Pompei, it’s 5-10 minutes walk to the entrance. from Naples you can find as well many buses or organized tours.
Attractions - the whole archeological site.
Hotels - I suggest to spend the night in Naples and just visit Pompei as daily trip.
Food & Restaurants - many restaurants close by. you could as well prepare something to bring inside the park. you can find some picnic areas where you can peacefully eat and enjoy your time in the park.
In Campania region I always suggest PIZZAAA🍕 or seafood. they also have many good fried stuff and desserts. try limoncello too 🍋 the most famous ones are from Capri island.

city of Pompei - Ancient Rome
The city of Pompeii is famous because it was destroyed in 79 CE when a nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius, erupted, covering it in at least 19 feet (6 metres) of ash and other volcanic debris. The city's quick burial preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered in the late 16th century.

Take a trip to Pompei 🇮🇹
Pompei is a famous ancient city that was destroyed by the mighty volcano Vesuvius years ago. It is now a tourism destination for many wanting to learn about the history of this great city and one of the worst disasters in human recorded history.
It is very close to the big city of Naples, and being in the Campania region, the city is surrounded by nature consisting of mountains, greenery, and plenty of animal life.
There are plenty of places to eat here including a cafeteria where you can get some of the typical Italian foods one may like or even international snacks. However, be warned because it is a bit more expensive to buy food here instead of eating before coming.
Pompei can be reached by bus only about an hour away, or by car taxi and many tourist groups can be seen here in the summer.
The city is wide and vast so be sure to wear walking shoes for the cobblestones. View in awe the many houses, gardens, and places people lived.
There are museums and a gift shop one can visit for souvenirs too.
I especially enjoy the views of the villas people of wealth used to live in with the open roofs and big garden areas.
Overall. I would say that this is worth a visit if you happen to be in the Campania region or visiting the city of Naples.
DON’T MISS OUT!! It’s worth a visit.

Natural Hot Springs by the sea!
Just a ferry ride away from Naples is this beautiful island called Ischia. Not as expensive or touristy as its sister island, Capri - Ischia is perhaps Italy’s best secret!
The island is very easy to navigate using the public bus system. We stayed at Sant Angelo and there were at least 3 choices of beaches to pick from that’s within walking distance! The sea literally glitters in the sun and my favourite part of all? The natural public hot spring at Baia di Sorgeto. Take the bus to Panza old town (Via Provinciale Panza - Succhivo) and walk down the road on Via Fumerie and take all the steps down! If you’re worried to climb back up, you can also opt to take the water taxi back to Sant’Angelo! #passionpassport #beachlife #bucketlistreboot

With its panoramic views of Mount Vesuvius and the Isle of Capri, Sorrento is a visual masterpiece. Italian Positano, where mermaids reside in the sea. Travel guide and itinerary.
On Easter day, the weather forecast said it would rain, but it turned out to be sunny. How lucky! When the sun was out, it instantly felt like summer. The lemons on the roadside haven't fully bloomed yet, so I could only take pictures of the ones on the tree in scattered shops.
If you don't eat or swim 🏊♀️, you can explore the small town in two hours. You just need to keep climbing stairs, which can be a bit tiring since it's all mountain roads.
Here are some transportation tips.
I took the L21 to Sorrento from Naples train station (buy tickets at the manual window at the end of the underground floor of the station, next to the entrance, ask staff if unsure, timetable can be viewed on Google Maps).
Then, as soon as you come out of the Sorrento train station, you can see the bus stop for Positano, because the bus will be parked there or many people will be queuing there.
There are ticket booths at both ends of the train station.
I don't know if Easter in southern Italy counts as peak season, but I queued up early in the morning at around 8 o'clock and didn't get on the bus until after 9 o'clock! So make sure to arrive at the site earlier than your estimated departure time to queue up. There are really a lot of people and the bus is not big enough. If you go up later, you will have to stand the whole way, which will be very painful for people who get carsick. The driver's driving is also very dizzying (the European girl next to me vomited all the way...
For the return trip, you can buy the bus ticket at the stores marked with "sta", or pay online after boarding the bus.
If you want to stay longer in Southern Italy, you can live in Sorrento. This small town is also very beautiful and chill. I love Southern Italy and I want to stay here for a while in the future.

Italian Positano town, a colorful cliff town in a dream, nanny-level travel guide.
Positano is a small town located on the Costiera Amalfitana coast in the Campania region of Italy. The main part of the town is backed by mountains and faces the sea, and is distributed on the flat land between the mountains and the sea.
A writer described it as follows: Positano is a dreamland. When you are there, it doesn't feel very real, but after you leave, it becomes vivid. Scattered along the winding and twisting coastline are many picturesque towns, and the most beautiful one among them is Positano.
A small house slowly climbs up the mountainside from the seaside, painted in different colors, with flowers dotted on the cliffs. These colors are typical Mediterranean colors, mustard yellow, dark orange-red, and the sun deepens their depth. Walking on the winding paths is like a maze, and you can only adjust your pace to explore.
A trip to Positano for seclusion and vacation is definitely a good choice. Here, there are comfortable and luxurious boutique hotels. Seeing the beautiful cottages on the mountainside, enjoying the brilliant sunshine in the endless Mediterranean Sea, it's so comfortable that there's nothing to say. Whether it's on the beach or next to the hotel's swimming pool, there are many people enjoying sunbathing leisurely.
My itinerary: Napoli - Salerno - Amalfi - Positano - Sorrento - Napoli.
Napoli to Salerno: Train for 4.3 euros (40 minutes), buy tickets at Napoli train station.
Salerno to Amalfi: take the SITA bus, buy tickets at Salerno station, less than 3 euros (1 hour)
From Amalfi to Positano: take the SITA bus, buy tickets near Amalfi station, 2 euros (1 hour).
Positano to Sorrento: Buy tickets at the Positano ticket office for 2.9 euros (40 minutes).
Sorrento to Napoli: Buy tickets at Sorrento train station for 3.9 euros (one and a half hours).

Blue Grotto Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
We bought a boat tour around the island in the morning. From the Capri's port we went directly to the blue grotto - we were there around 10.15 a.m. and there was already lots of people waiting on the stairs and also on the boats. We got inside quite quick. The entrance was 14 Euro - quite a lot for a 5 minute ride... We changed the boat for small boats and got inside. The man who was in the small boat was very funny and nice. I am happy that we went there! It was amazing inside!#awesomepic #境外遊

A book takes you to know a city - Naples
Getting to know Naples, it was when I was a student secretly reading 'The Fireflies of Naples', which depicts the story of two little boys each experiencing hardships and growing up under the shadow of the underworld.
Naples is the largest city in southern Italy, hailed as the city of sunshine and happiness. The city's coastal promenade is beautiful, making it one of the most famous scenic spots in the Mediterranean.
🌟Highlights:
The Egg Castle (Figure 7), a castle built more than 2000 years ago, is the place where the Western Roman Emperor was exiled. Near the dock, you can enjoy the sunrise over the Bay of Naples from the castle.
The Blue Grotto of Capri (Figure 8), one of the seven wonders of the world. The entrance to the cave is small, you need to take a small boat to enter, it is said that the statue of Poseidon was also found here.
📝Note tips:
The tour guide said that the security in this area is not very good, do not wander around at night.

Capri - Italians call it the most beautiful island in the world 🏝️
Italian island style | Enchanting Capri captures hearts at first sight.
A local scenery that you must visit when you come!
👁️Blue Hole: One of the seven wonders of the world, the charming cliff erosion cave Blue Hole reflects the sunlight in the underwater cavity, presenting a bright blue color like a gem.
People who are playing are lying on chairs sunbathing 🌞
🍋Lemon
On the island, lemons are abundant and you can basically see large lemons hanging on trees everywhere.
🌾Recommended time: September, June, and May are the most ideal. During these three months, small towns and beaches are less crowded, and prices are not high.
