Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Heart stopping cliff walk!
We spent 5 days in Vancouver and this is one of the most thrilling must do adventure in Canada. At world famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, spanning 137m (450 ft) and 70m (230ft) high above the Capilano River, you can also appreciate the beauty of nature from the seven bridges of Treetops Adventure and the thrilling Cliffwalk, a heart-stopping 700ft journey 30 storeys high along the granite cliffside offering panoramic views of the rainforest and canyon below. This is a very popular attraction in Vancouver so go early if you want to avoid the crowds. We did not have to book ahead and simply bought our entrance tickets upon arrival so we can make sure we have a good weather for this activity on our bucket list.

One of my favorite places in British Columbia is the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was originally built in 1889 and is surrounded by a vast forest with wildlife all around. The bridge stretches 140 meters across the valley that it’s in. It’s a great spot for photos because it offers a unique view of the landscape that surrounds it. #awesomepic #britishcolumbia #instagramworthydestinations #unforgettableexperiences

Lynn Canyon Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A Day In Vancouver-Raincouver
Last summer, I embarked on a memorable journey to Lynn Canyon Park in Vancouver, a nature enthusiast's haven. The lush, towering trees created a vibrant canopy, providing a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. Navigating the suspension bridge over the crystal-clear Lynn Creek heightened my senses, as the cool breeze whispered tales of the surrounding ancient forests. Hiking trails led me through enchanting landscapes, unveiling hidden waterfalls and emerald pools. The park's natural beauty, coupled with the harmonious sounds of wildlife, created a serene ambiance. Lynn Canyon Park stands as a testament to Vancouver's pristine wilderness, offering an immersive experience in the heart of nature. #2024wish #Vancouver #canada
Hiking in Vancouver
Getting There - Take the bus 210 from downtown Vancouver to get there. The bus journey takes about an hour and costs CAD 3.10. Alternatively you can drive there and there are spots for parking.
Attractions - The entrance to the park is free of charge. The main attractions are the suspension bridge and the small water pond. You can swim in the pond and the water is crystal clear! The hiking trail is moderately challenging.
Food & Restaurants - There is a cafe near to the suspension bridge. Otherwise it will be best to bring your own food. There is also cafe near to the park but it is quite a walk from the park entrance.
Canada also unexpectedly has a fairytale-like park
A green oxygen bar
Lynn Canyon Park is surrounded by trees and the air is fresh. The green trees tower into the clouds, lush and luxuriant, and the entire park seems like a sea of green. During the course of my walk, there was not a moment when the green disappeared.
The preferred place for outdoor activities
It was July when I went, and on the way I saw a huge wave of people passing through it. It was thoroughly imposing, a dark and dense mass of people. A local person told me that this is a summer vacation activity, and that people who love the outdoors set out on their hike from the center of the canyon starting at 2 PM. Other than hiking, I also saw some people enjoying camping picnics.
Suspension bridge
The Lynn Canyon Park suspension bridge is the most famous sight inside the park. A curving suspension bridge hangs in the air and spans a coniferous forest. This bridge may not be friendly to those with a fear of heights. I was a bit afraid after getting on the bridge. Below it is a gurgling stream. There were some children who liked to jump up and down on the bridge, whereupon the bridge would sway uncontrollably. I held onto the guardrail tightly, and slowly made my way to the other side. The venture has some thrill of danger, but it is very safe.
Creeks
There are many creeks in the forest, but there are some special things about a creek here - their water comes from melting glaciers. You can step on the stones between the small creeks and carry on moving forward. I stopped and washed a hand in the water, and coldly eased the inflammation [sic]. I saw behind me some people who were directly washing fruits in the creek before eating them. I thought that this way of doing things were so natural and good, until I saw a blonde girl wearing a swimsuit playing with the water in the creek...
Travel information:
You can take the 228 bus to the Valley Center, a 10 minute walk to the front
You can take the 229 bus to the main entrance of the park

A nice spot for a short hike if you are visiting Vancouver. It’s located in the north shore, only 30 minutes drive from downtown Vancouver. also accessible by public transport.
Besides, a short hike to the Quarry Rock. There are water sports available too!! If you are looking for kayak/SUP, there is a rental shop near the beach.
Many dining options around, but a bit pricey compared to downtown area. Btw do NOT forget to#境外遊#mytripvlog#urbanexplorer try the famous donut if you are visiting!
Overall, a great place to spend a day and chill out!
