🗻A great day spent exploring Oahu! 🚙
#alohaspirit
A day exploring Oahu is a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural discovery. Start your morning early with a visit to Diamond Head, one of Oahu’s most iconic landmarks. The hike up to the summit offers panoramic views of Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean, and the early morning light makes it ideal for photos.
After the hike, head over to Waikiki Beach for a relaxing swim or surf session. The beach is world-renowned for its gentle waves and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for both beginners and seasoned surfers. You can also enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach, soaking in the sights of the turquoise water and golden sand.
For lunch, make your way to Haleiwa Town on the North Shore, known for its laid-back vibe and delicious local food. Grab a bite at one of the many food trucks serving up fresh seafood, poke bowls, and shave ice. While you’re there, be sure to visit the famous Waimea Bay, where you can admire towering waves in the winter or enjoy calmer waters during the summer.
In the afternoon, explore the cultural side of Oahu with a trip to Pearl Harbor. Visit the USS Arizona Memorial, where you can learn about the tragic events of December 7, 1941, and pay tribute to the lives lost.
Finish your day with a scenic drive along the Windward Coast, taking in breathtaking views of lush green mountains, pristine beaches, and coastal cliffs. Oahu offers a full day of adventure, relaxation, and history that will leave you wanting more.

sunset beach parkのsunset
It's been two years since my last visit to Hawaii, and this time a friend took me to an amazing place.
Sunset Beach Park
We moved from Haleiwa in time for the sunset. When we finally parked the car and went to the beach, we were moved by the view. It was a completely different experience from the sunset at Waikiki Beach. #trip2022 It's a place that's hard to go to, but if you have the chance, I hope you'll go. #Hawaii #Sunset #Amazing view spot to enjoy the sunset

Limousine charter from Honolulu airport to city
We rented a limousine to get from Honolulu Airport to the city!
It was surprisingly cheap, less than $100, so I recommend it if you're traveling with a group of multiple people.
It's a bit pricey for just two people, but it's great for a date on a special anniversary◎
It was super comfortable!

Tropical island fun
Oahu is the main island of the state of Hawaii. Here, you'll also find Hawaii's largest and most famous city, Honolulu. This being said, you'll find something for everyone here.
First and foremost, you cannot miss Honolulu and it's famous Waikiki beach. Here you'll be rewarded with blue lagoon colored waters and countless hotels and restaurants along the strip. Although the shops are quite touristy and pricey, you'll find everything you need here.
Honolulu is also site to many historic attractions such as Pearl Harbor. At this historic memorial you can take a boat to the site where the USS Arizona lies sunk in the harbor. The memorial is sombre and is important to the the remembrance for those who died during the war.
In a more upbeat note, take a stroll around the downtown area for quirky and contrasting architecture styles and discover a bit of the important Asian community at Honolulu's Chinatown.
There's countless wonderful beaches all along the coasts of Oahu. Some that come to mind are Hanauma Bay and Lanikai beach, the latter of which is home to rich turquoise colored calm waters; simply paradisical !
There are also great hiking opportunities on Oahu. Diamond Head is an inactive volcano and lovely hiking trail right outside of Waikiki. It offers wonderful views of the city below. Koko Head is also a challenging but rewarding hiking trail that is less busy.
Overall, Oahu is an extremely fun place to visit. You'll find historic memorials, a cosmopolitan city, beautiful beaches and great hiking trails; you'll definitely find something for everyone! I also forgot to mention the delicious and fresh Hawaiian cuisine the state offers! You're definitely in for a (or many) treat(s)!

Paragliding on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii
When you think of Hawaii, you think of the ocean! When you think of the ocean, you think of marine sports!
I experienced paragliding for the first time on my trip to Hawaii!
We could go with two or three people :)
I was so happy to be able to go up high in the sky and see the beautiful scenery of Hawaii 🥰 I wondered if it would be scary to go up high, but I don't think it felt that scary ㅋㅋㅋ The weather was great, I felt so good, and it remains as a happy memory.
If you go to Hawaii, I hope you try paragliding~~

Three must do things in Oahu.
1- Surf at Waikiki Beach. This is a great spot for beginners to learn to surf. The waves are gentle and make it easy to learn how to stand up on your board. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset.
2- Hike Diamond Head. Diamond Head is an extinct volcanic crater with some of the best views of the island. It’s a reality rly easy hike which can take around 1-2 hours, depending on how many times you stop to take photos.
3- Walking around Lanikai Beach. This is one of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve seen. Directly in front of the beach is a small island that you are able to be boated out to. It really makes you feel like you are truly in paradise.

Hawaii is more than a romantic location. if you are seeking adventure then Hawaii is truly a place for you! The scenery in Hawaii is something out of a movie! It's lush, green and beautiful!
One of the most popular hikes is called Stairway to Heaven. You can hike to the top using the back route. The only issue is that it takes about 4-6 hours to do it but it is perfectly legal. Trying to hike mountain using the stairs is actually illegal and there is police in the area looking out for tourists trying to do this hike. You could be fined up to $1000 as well. So be careful and have fun!

Beautiful palm tree lined roads, steep mountains all around, and gorgeous beaches are what make Hawaii so unique.

Oahu is not very large, so most of the attractions are within driving distance.
There are many Japanese residents and tourists in Hawaii, so Japanese food, ramen, hand rolls, sushi, and sandwiches can be easily found in the convenience store.🍜🍣🥪🍙🍱😋

One of the coolest views of Hawaii is from the Tom Tom Trail. Here you can see Makapu'u beach and the lighthouse in the distance.

Oahu is a great car! If you are fast, you can get around the island in one day, but if you don't want to leave Waikiki Beach too far, you can go to the East China Sea for a lap of up to 2 to 3 hours. The shore of the East China Sea is the most popular tourist route on Oahu Island, with beautiful views of the cliffs of the sea and the waves. There are also countless observation platforms along the road, and each observation deck has beautiful natural scenery. There are also many beaches along the way, free beaches are available for a fee, and of course most are free.
Some visitors don't like the excitement of Waikiki Beach, they choose to drive to the farther beaches and enjoy the priority island holidays.
Makapuu Beach Park is located at the eastern end of Oahu, belonging to the Windward Coast and adjacent to Sea Life Park Hawaii. There is also a church next to it. I heard that many people choose to take wedding photos here or hold a simple beach wedding.

When I was traveling in Honolulu, Hawaii, it was during Christmas. In order to better understand and experience the place, we decided to stay at the local homestay. The owner of the home, Carlos, is a very interesting person. At his invitation, we followed him to the sea for Christmas! Since Hawaii is at 20-24 degrees Celsius all the year round, Carlos had planned to wear Santa's clothes to add a festive atmosphere. However, it was a little hot in the afternoon. Carlos had to take off his shirt and wear only Santa's pants and hat. So, the picture was very funny! It was a very special and unforgettable experience of Christmas. The most rare thing is that we also get to see two rainbows! Hawaii is really the town of the rainbows.

Perfect Stay for Families, Couples, or Solo Travelers
Our family of four absolutely loved our stay here. My boyfriend and I returned another time, just the two of us, and had an equally amazing experience! I'd definitely recommend this place for families, couples, or even solo travelers.
During our stay at Queen Kapiolani, we had no complaints. The staff was outstanding, the hotel itself was clean and beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view. The pool was a hit with the kids, especially in the evenings.
We opted for valet parking, which turned out to be another seamless experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and always quick to retrieve our car. Whenever we walked to the beach, we borrowed chairs from the hotel, which was super convenient.
The only slight downside, though hardly a problem, was occasionally having to wait for the elevator during peak times. Even then, squeezing into the elevator wasn’t an issue if we chose to do so.
Whenever I visit Oahu, I stay here, and every single time is an incredible experience. Highly recommend booking your trip here!

Dreaming of a chill island escape? 🌴 Kawela Bay on O‘ahu’s North Shore is THAT serene hideaway — think uncrowded beaches, insane sunsets, and resort luxury (hello, ocean views from bed 😍). Here’s my guide to making the most of your time at the iconic Ritz-Carlton O‘Ahu, Turtle Bay, with practical tips to keep it easy and stress-free.
🌟 Must-See & Do in Kawela Bay:
1. Turtle Bay Beaches: Just steps from your room, these stretches are perfect for morning walks, shell collecting, or a swim in calm waters.
2. Hotel Activities: Don’t miss snorkeling straight off the private beach, epic golf with ocean views, on-site hiking trails, and water sports galore—no car needed to soak up that local culture!
3. Sunset Watch: The balcony sunsets really are next-level — prime time is around 6:30–7:30pm. Get your camera ready!
4. Stay at The Ritz-Carlton O‘Ahu, Turtle Bay (57-091 Kamehameha Hwy): Sure, rooms feel a little retro, but waking up to that Pacific view is worth it. Staff are super friendly, just don’t expect instant problem-solving.
💡 Insider Tips:
– Kawela Bay is a real escape from bustling Waikiki — bring snacks and essentials, since options nearby are limited.
– Check out even the simple activities at Turtle Bay — small group tours are less crowded and give you real North Shore feels!
– If you’re into surfing or want to try, ask staff about lessons (they know the best instructors).
🚗 Getting Around: Renting a car is easiest if you want to explore more of O‘ahu, but rideshare can get you here from Honolulu Airport in about an hour.
🍍 Eats: On-site hotel dining is solid, but pricey. For more local eats, venture towards Haleiwa town—totally worth the drive.

Prime Location with Exceptional Amenities and Hospitality
The property is situated in an ideal location, with excellent staff and spotless rooms. What more could you ask for? Everyone at the property ensures you feel welcome, and their rooftop pool and bar feature DJs and live music for days when you prefer not to head to the beach. They also offer beach towels and chair rentals, which seem to be free, though it's on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For parking, you can choose between valet or self-parking, which are almost the same price. My only gripe is that despite paying in advance for a week's parking, the self-park area can get busy during peak hours due to events and visitors, making spots a bit scarce—though most of the parking area is quite spacious.
The Longboard Club serves a fantastic breakfast! While I’ve missed it a few days by sleeping in, I managed to enjoy it on some mornings. I've stayed here three times out of my five trips to Oahu, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it, 10/10!

These moments from a 14-day deep dive in Hawaii are breathtaking!
Spent two full weeks in Hawaii, only taking two days to visit Maui. The rest of the time was all about enjoying vacation with friends on Oahu Island~ I started preparing for this trip a month in advance, and looking back, it was totally worth it!!!
Oahu is definitely the must-visit first stop in Hawaii✨
🔥 Here you’ll find unbeatable views of Waikiki Beach
🔥 The rich history of Pearl Harbor
🔥 Stunning sunrises at Diamond Head
🔥 Plus lots of amazing Japanese restaurants
Although I only spent two days on Maui
The sunset at Haleakalā volcano 🌄
And driving along the Road to Hana 🚗
Every moment was unbelievably beautiful!!
💡 Travel tips:
1⃣️ Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen!! The Hawaiian sun is intense
2⃣️ Renting a car makes getting around much easier
3⃣️ Wear bright-colored clothes for photos that really pop
4⃣️ Book tickets for popular attractions in advance to avoid long lines
