Due to its large size, this church is also known as the Marina Alta Cathedral among the locals in the Alicante area. Its rich interior is striking, with three naves, a central transept with a beautiful dome, a richly decorated altar, numerous images, a marvelous organ or beautiful stained glass windows. Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) Very interesting little museum to visit, like traveling back two centuries. A building that shows what life was like for the wealthy in the 18th and 19th centuries, sometimes looking like something out of an old-timey TV series. The beautiful interior has all sorts of nice details and objects well preserved, a very special historical experience. Too bad there was no explanation, not in English or even in Spanish. Along the intricate cobbled streets of a typical town left by the Arabs, we discovered interesting buildings of various styles and origins from the 14th to the 17th century. During the tour of the old town, we can see that this street concentrates almost all of the town’s iconic buildings, including the Neo-Gothic church built in the 20th century, the magnificent residence built in the 16th century, and the Riberer Monument. All this is topped off with a little tourist route, a stroll through the well-preserved old part of the city.
