Authentic Hangzhou cuisine that you must try once a week
Guimanlong, a Hangzhou cuisine restaurant, has a long wait at the door. The environment is impeccable. The decoration is probably the ceiling of Hangzhou cuisine. It is Wizard of Oz-style, giving the feeling of a forest oxygen bar. Once you enter, you want to breathe in a few more breaths of oxygen. This dining environment is very romantic. You have to eat a few more bowls of rice once you come in.
I have eaten there four or five times before. This time it's right next to my house so I don't have to travel far to eat. The plates are nice looking, the lemonade is very high quality, and the toothpicks, paper towels, and gloves are very thoughtful.
Two people ordered six dishes. Chicken feet are a must-try. They are very soft and sticky, and the braised ones are not bad. The pickled fish tastes good, but there are too many small bones in the fish fillets. It would be better if the meat was sliced bigger. The Hangzhou Three Fresh Vegetables contains 3 big-headed prawns + 3 slices of pork stomach + 2 egg and meat dumplings. There are a few shrimps, and the overall taste is a bit salty, which needs improvement. The rice cake is very cost-effective, less than 20 yuan for a large portion, and with osmanthus juice, two people can't finish it. The cauliflower has a lot of oil residue, and I wanted to find a few slices of meat in it but couldn't find it. As expected, it is called "Oil Residue Cauliflower", hahaha. The most distinctive dish is the beggar's chicken, which is fragrant and has tender meat.
Overall, the restaurant has a good atmosphere and the taste is very authentic. I basically come here to eat whenever I have time!
