Quiet Sakura Walk Goals 🌸
#cherryblossom25 If you're craving a peaceful cherry blossom stroll away from the usual tourist madness, Hanoki no Michi is such a vibe. It’s this quiet little path lined with cherry trees that feels like it was made for slow walks and deep breaths. No big crowds, no loud groups, just you, the soft rustle of petals, and a path that looks like it came out of a zen postcard.
The trees arch over the walkway in some spots, and when the petals start falling? Total sakura snow globe moment. It’s the kind of place where you can actually hear the birds and your own thoughts. Bring a coffee, plug in your chill playlist, and just take your time, no rush here. It's not flashy or famous, but that’s what makes it feel extra special. Quiet, pretty, and perfectly low-key. Definitely one of those: ahhh, this is Japan spots.

Kyoto Hanami no Michi: Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom
#cherryblossom25
Located along the Kamogawa River in Kyoto’s Sakyo Ward, Hanami no Michi stretches between Kita-Oji Bridge and Kita-Yama Bridge. It's the perfect spot to enjoy cherry blossoms while exploring nearby areas like the Kyoto Botanical Gardens.
Best Time to Visit:
The cherry blossoms are currently in full bloom, with the beautiful Shidarezakura (weeping cherry trees) in deep pink hues swaying gracefully in the wind. The trees create a stunning cherry blossom tunnel, enveloping passersby in a warm, romantic spring atmosphere. 🌸🌿
How to Get There:
Kita-Oji Bridge side: Take bus lines 1, 32, 34, 204, 205, 206, or Kitano 8 to Shokubutsuen-mae Station or take the Karasuma Line to Kita-Oji Station (6 minutes on foot).
Kita-Yama Bridge side: Take Kitano 8 to Kita-Yama Bridge East Station or bus lines 36/Kitano 3 to Higashi-Motomachi Station.
Cherry Blossom Day Trip Recommendations: After visiting Hanami no Michi, you can continue your sakura tour by heading to nearby spots like Kyoto Botanical Garden, Kamigamo Shrine, Kamogawa River, and Kyoto Imperial Palace Park. The cherry blossoms are still in full bloom in the first three places (as seen in the photos from April 8th at the botanical garden). The cherry blossoms are starting to fall, so now is the perfect time to visit before they end!

It’s so beautiful! Kyoto has a beautiful cherry blossom tunnel with few people 🌸
These days, the cherry blossoms in Kyoto are in full bloom. In order to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds, I went for a walk in the Kamo River Banmu-no-michi upstream of the Kamogawa River 🚶🏻♂️ Unexpectedly, I encountered a dreamlike cherry blossom tunnel!
The scene before your eyes is breathtakingly beautiful. The pink cherry blossoms are intertwined to form a natural tunnel. When the wind blows, the petals fly like snow, which is extremely romantic. Since it is a certain distance from the center of Kyoto, there are few tourists here. Most of them are locals who come for picnics, or riders who ride freely along the river bank.
Here, time seems to stand still, with only the sounds of birds singing and gurgling water to accompany you. I strolled through it and took beautiful photos in every corner. It is so beautiful that people can’t wait to get up early the next day to enjoy such romance again. If you also want to avoid the crowds and check out the most beautiful cherry blossoms in Kyoto, don't miss this place! #Kyoto Sakura

[Northern Kyoto] Kamo River Bank 🌸 Small cherry blossom spot: Hanki-no-michi

Kamo River · Banmu Road|A small cherry blossom viewing spot in Kyoto
When it comes to cherry blossoms in Kyoto, where do you think of first? Kodaiji Temple, Daigoji Temple 🏯, or Arashiyama ⛰, the path of philosophy? These places are popular places for cherry blossom viewing in Kyoto, but the flow of people is also overwhelming, even more than the Golden Week in China.
In Rakuhoku (northern Kyoto), there is such a place, next to the Kamo River, with large areas of 🌸 cherry blossoms and ancient ⛩ shrines; during the cherry blossom season, you can stroll here 🍱 and have a picnic, and there are elegant streets and many literary shops. Most importantly, there are really not many tourists
Most of the rivers in Kyoto are called "Kawa". The Kamogawa River flows northward to Demachiyanagi and then splits into two rivers, and the Kamo River is one of them. At a glance, the distant mountains are rolling, the river is slowly calming, and the cherry blossoms in full bloom are lined up on both sides, giving a sense of freehand watercolor painting.
Walking along the two banks for a while, you will see a scenic spot for viewing the weeping cherry blossoms, called Banmu no Michi.
[Weeping cherry], as the name suggests, is a type of cherry blossom with long branches that droop under the pull of gravity, usually requiring support
🚗Transportation guide: Get off at [Kitaoji Station] on the Karasuma Line and walk for 10 minutes. Get off at [Botanical Garden-mae] on the Kyoto Bus and walk for 15 minutes. Just walk along the river bank. There are scenery everywhere.
