Affordable New York trip
1. Broadway Musical Lottery💃
There's a lottery where you might be able to see a Broadway musical cheaply!
The Lion King seems relatively easy to win! (This is my personal opinion.) The musicals participating in the lottery vary depending on the time, so please check!
I can't post websites here, so try searching "Broadway musical ny lottery" or something similar!
You'll be contacted whether you win or lose!
If you win, you're lucky! You can see a show for around $45-65!
Even if you don't win, I prefer to go to the box office of the venue you want to see and buy tickets there rather than going to a ticket counter (a place in Times Square that's said to sell tickets cheap)!
*The entry period is set at a specific time the day before, so please check the website!
2. Statue of Liberty🗽
From Whitehall Terminal at the bottom of Manhattan,
there is a free ferry to Staten Island that departs every 30 minutes. From there, take the ferry. You can see the Statue of Liberty from the ferry, although you won't be able to see it up close.
Once you arrive at Staten Island, you can take the ferry back to Manhattan, or you can take a quick look around at the outlet mall on Staten Island (about a one-minute walk from the ferry terminal), so you might want to head back to Manhattan!
③$1.50 Pizza🍕
It used to be 9.99 cents, but now the price has gone up to $1.50! It's a pain to eat it all the time, lol.
If you visit NYC, be sure to try it at least once!
You can find it in various places around town! One slice is big enough to fill your stomach!
④Buy Water at Whole Foods Market
Water is sold in many places, but 500ml bottles are quite cheap! So, if you find a Whole Foods Market, I recommend buying some water!
⑤ Enjoy Music
In the W4 area, there's the famous Blue Note, and nearby are places like Cafe What? and Grooove, where you can enjoy live music like R&B and Funk.
The entrance fee is around 10-20 💲, so I recommend it for listening to live music, dancing, and drinking after dinner or drinks! It might get pretty crowded on the weekends, so it's best to make a reservation, but you can probably get in without one on weekdays. It's open late, so it's easy to go!
I'm sure there are other places, but I'll write about them later.
Save money, but use it when you can.
Have a great trip!
