5 Days, 4 Nights in Japan Day 1: After landing at Narita Airport, the first stop was 'Choshi.' The first restaurant we visited was 'Hitachi Fish Dish.' Our Japanese guide recommended this place, mentioning that it’s quite popular, especially in the evenings. The food served was incredibly fresh and delicious. Each of us got a set meal that was absolutely delightful! 👍🏻 Next, we visited the 'Yamasa Soy Sauce Factory Visitor Center,' where we tried soy sauce ice cream made by the factory. The flavor was surprisingly good, reminiscent of salted caramel. We also sampled cola made from soy sauce, paired with sparkling water—it was an amazing combination! Day 2: Heading into Tokyo 🚅 We explored the Ito Yokado area near Kiba, which has a large Seven-Eleven store. After shopping at the mall, we stopped by Tully’s Coffee for a hot matcha latte to recharge before continuing our journey. In the evening, we indulged in sushi at 'Kaiten Sushi Misaki.' The taste was fantastic—definitely a 10/10 experience! It felt like enjoying an omakase meal. Day 3: More sushi! This time, we tried 'Sushiro,' a famous sushi chain that’s gaining popularity in Thailand. The sushi was excellent, and the best part was that there was no waiting in line! For dinner, our Japanese friends invited us to try sukiyaki. But instead of the usual beef or pork sukiyaki, we had 'duck sukiyaki,' a local specialty from Nara. The duck was incredibly fresh with no gamey smell, and the appetizers were equally delightful. This meal was truly satisfying and budget-friendly! 😂 Day 4: The final day of our adventure 🫠 This day was all about exploring, shopping for souvenirs, and eating! First stop: Asakusa. The street food here was abundant, and we highly recommend the green tea shop in Asakusa—it was amazing, with a nutty aroma. Next, we headed to Shibuya for lunch. After much deliberation, we decided to queue at 'Roast Beef Ono.' The line was long, but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is located underground, accessible via stairs. Meat lovers shouldn’t miss this place! We ordered the A5 Wagyu beef set (size M) for about 2,200 yen (excluding drinks). The price was reasonable, and the taste was phenomenal—it kept us full until evening. After lunch, we strolled around Shibuya and tried dorayaki from a famous shop (unfortunately, we forgot the name). The queue was incredibly long, but the taste was worth it! Dinner: BBQ time! It’s a must-have when visiting Japan. We dined at 'Gyu-Kaku' in Shinjuku. The food was delicious, and it’s a buffet-style restaurant where you can choose a price range that suits your budget. We opted for the cheapest set, which cost around 900 baht in Thai currency. It was absolutely worth it! If you’re planning a trip to Japan, we highly recommend trying out the restaurants we visited. The shogunate in the Edo period built a lighthouse here. The current lighthouse was designed by the British and was completed and lit in 1874, the seventh year of the Meiji era. It has been guarding this sea area ever since. The light of the lighthouse is said to be visible from 19.5 nautical miles away. Inubosaki Lighthouse was selected as one of the top 100 lighthouses in the world and is a historical lighthouse that represents Japan. To walk from Kimigahama Shiosai Park to the lighthouse, you have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the cape where the lighthouse is located. From a distance you can see the white lighthouse standing on the dark cape. Although the lighthouse has been standing for 150 years, its appearance is well maintained and does not look old at all. It looks very beautiful in photos against the blue sky behind. You can visit the exhibition hall and climb to the top of the lighthouse by buying a 300 yen ticket. The information exhibition hall introduces the history of the lighthouse, and you can also see the huge lens used in the lighthouse up close. To get to the top of the lighthouse, you have to climb 99 steps, but once you get there you can see the entire coastline. The only slight problem was that the wind was so strong on the windward side that I couldn't open my eyes, making it difficult to take pictures. The produce shop next door sells coffee and light meals, and you can also buy some local specialties such as fruits, vegetables, and seafood. If you want to see the sea and relax, this is a great spot to spend an afternoon leisurely.

Transportation: Take the JR Narita Line/Sobu Main Line to Choshi, transfer to Choshi Electric Railway, and walk about 7 minutes from Kujigahama Station. Visit Time: Late April 2025 After exiting Kujigahama Station, follow Google Maps to navigate through quiet countryside roads. In about 7 minutes, you'll be greeted by the stunning coastline. Previously, I saw recommendations for photographing the Inubosaki Lighthouse from Kujigahama Shiosai Park, and after visiting, I can confirm it's a great spot! The expansive ocean connects seamlessly with the prominent cape, where the pristine white lighthouse stands. On sunny days, sitting by the seaside, enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of waves, is incredibly relaxing. For slow travelers, this is a spot that invites you to pause and unwind. The paths in Shiosai Park are easy to walk, and if you want to get closer to the water, there’s a gentle sandy beach area with stairs leading down to the shore. However, April might still be a bit chilly—I only saw one person collecting seaweed on the beach. From Shiosai Park, it’s about a 10-minute leisurely walk to Inubosaki Lighthouse. You’ll need to climb a set of stairs to reach the cape where the lighthouse is located, but the stairs are not steep and are quite manageable. Note that there are no food vendors in the park, so it’s best to eat beforehand or dine at the souvenir center near the lighthouse. The seaside can be windy, making it feel colder, but sunny days can still be quite warm due to the lack of shade. Be sure to dress warmly while also taking precautions against sun exposure.

The enshrined deity is Uka no Mitama no Kami Approximately 350 years ago, in the early Edo period, a fisherman named Chokuro, who came to Choshi from Kishu with Jiroemon Sakiyama, who developed the town and port of Togawa, commissioned Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto. Around 2002, the shrine was badly damaged, so women in the neighborhood pooled their money to build a new shrine. However, it was later destroyed in the Great East Japan Earthquake and is currently in the process of being rebuilt. I think there are pros and cons as to the shape of the shrine, but I think it's good to have a shrine like this. From the temple grounds, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the horizon. There is no parking lot in sight, but you can park by passing through the torii gate and entering the shrine grounds.

Very relaxing area. I've been here three times this year. You can take a walk or sit by the shore. I think pets are allowed as well. It's ¥200-300 yen to go on the lighthouse to view. You have to go up narrow stairs, and to see the magical view on top of the lighthouse. This is lighthouse at Cape Inubozaki is enchanting- it is a national heritage structure and the museum has all details on the operational part of the lighthouse since the beginning of the; views from the top of the lighthouse is mind blowing- you get a 360 degree view of the Pacific Ocean and also boasts of the first sunrise. It was fun for me. No time limit after you first enter.

This is port tower and nice view point to see the port and see. Also you can see the city. I really liked it. It’s 57mt high. I used the binocular there and watched the birds flying over the sea. It was really amazing. For people who have been to Tokyo tower and skytree, this will be small. But you can watch once for the sea view. You can focus the ships . It was a great experience!

It is located 7-8 minutes walk from Kannon Station on the Choshi Electric Railway. It has a splendid five-storied pagoda, and I feel that it is a temple that is the heart of Choshi town. You can also enter the main hall and pray while you are ordering the goshuin. The Choshi Electric Railway runs once an hour during the day, so I think it would be a good idea to take your time to visit the shrine and then board the next train.
