The "Blyskawica" Museum-ship
The "Blyskawica" Museum-ship is a real zero-class monument - it is the oldest preserved destroyer - a World War II veteran and the only Allied combat ship that actively participated in operations throughout the war - from September 1, 1939 to May 8, 1945.
The "Błyskawica" museum ship still carries the white and red war flag. It remains in the composition of the 3rd Fleet of Ships of the Polish Navy and has a full-time sailor crew. It documents the traditions of Polish seamen's fights, is a place of representative meetings and state ceremonies, including ceremonial promotions of Navy officers, a mainstay of the eternal maritime ceremony, and at the same time a well-maintained monument of world-class naval technology.
A visit to Błyskawica allows you to get acquainted with the ship's deck equipment from the stern to the bow - take a look at the ship's artillery, depth charge throwers and launchers, and torpedoes. After going below deck, you can look into the sailor's rooms, boiler room and engine room, and even go through the ship's boiler.

A Great Trip Aboard The Great Britain
This was a memorable experience, firstly, the walk (in my case roll) down to the attraction along Princes Wharf is beautiful with views of colourful houses on the hillsides and passing many great attractions along the way including The Bristol Harbour Railway, Museum Square and Bristol Packet Boat Trips.
If you have the time, don’t miss the opportunity to stop off for some tea coffee and a sandwich at Brunel’s Buttery, delicious options and reasonably priced considering the location.
The SS Great Britain itself is set in a complex of multiple related attractions all of which are included in the “fare” price.
Prices are as follows: Passenger £22 Child Passenger £13.50 Nipper (Meaning 4yrs or younger) Free! Carers are also free whilst accompanying a disabled passenger and finally should you be in receipt of universal credit. There is a discounted ticket available for £8 and students are £18.50
There are various other options on the website and if the prices above or not good enough, then consider this a ticket is valid for unlimited return visits for a whole year!! Absolutely unbeatable value.
The ship itself is something to behold, being the biggest on the sea at the time it was built, you can really feel the history as your explore the nooks and crannies, from the basic cabins to the opulent first class dining room, you can spend hours upon hours reading, listening and experiencing this incredible piece of history.
In regards to accessibility, absolutely top marks, I did not struggle to find my way around and amazingly I didn’t actually get stuck anywhere stupid 😂, which is absolutely a first for me!
There are plenty of staff roaming around should you require assistance and they are all incredibly friendly and credit to the people of Bristol. #ship #history #bristol #valueformoney #unitedkingdom #southwest
Cruiser Aurora St. Petersburg
It's an incredibly important ship historically, not only due to the wars in which it fought the Japanese but because its guns signalled the start of revolution in Russia in 1917.
The museum itself is 400 rubles for locals and 700 for foreigners but there isn't much to see on board. No access to the engine room or other areas, there's also no English anywhere.
Personally, I'd recommend getting a cruise ship for around 1000 and seeing it from the water alongside the rest of the gorgeous city.#russia #history #military #cruise #ship
Locals love Victoria Harbour, visitors too
Hong Kong's stunning Victoria Harbour is a geographical highlight for pretty much all visitors to the city. It is where the British first arrived and developed the modern city we have today, directly upon her shores and there are numerous ways to enjoy time on and around this magnificent body of water.
Numerous hotels, restaurants, a handful of bars and even our Museum of Art offer excellent views of Victoria Harbour. There are nicely developed promenades and leisure parks on both sides of the harbour in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island as well, from which you can enjoy mornings, afternoons and evenings admiring the views of the water and skylines on both sides. Visitors can also enjoy short rides across the harbour on the historic Star Ferry as well as longer, slower rides around the harbour with Star Ferry and other companies
In the end, there are many ways to enjoy Victoria Harbour. As locals we do so regularly, as a visitor to Hong Kong, you will want to as well.
