A 5-star experience indeed.
Mactan isn't known for its beautiful beaches but this resort managed to make it look so beautiful. Full of sceneries such as their famous infinity pool and lots of spots to chill to avoid congestion. At night you can go to their beachfront bar with lots of drinks to choose from. That probably was my favorite spot.
Service was also great, people were kind and friendly. Food waa not great tho, there was nothing special about it, not even the serving size. Perhaps they can improve on that. Overall, i would definitely want to go back.😎

Lawang Sewu, Semarang
Lawang Sewu, literally Thousand Doors, is a landmark in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, built as the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company.
Several years ago, Lawang Sewu was known as a spooky and haunted place, so tourists tend to still view the rooms in this place as a mystical place.
However, thanks to the management of the government and PT KAI, Lawang Sewu's face has become more magnificent without reducing the historical value of every corner.
Currently Lawang Sewu is used as a historical tourist spot and a charming photo spot. The building is used as a museum to present a collection of railway history in Indonesia. The corner that most attracts tourists is the basement which is said to be a place of torture and dungeons during the colonial period.
However, in recent years, the crypt has been closed by the Lawang Sewu management for security reasons and to avoid historical bias.
Visitors can come to Lawang Sewu from 7 am to 9 pm. The entry ticket price for adults is IDR 10,000,- for students, IDR 5,000 for children, and IDR 5,000 for children.

A Vietnamese restaurant. Sure is aunthentic. Not quite a fan of their dishes but I managed. Everything seem to be "herby". But what I like about their food are their sauces. Too bad I wasn't able to take a pica. They have quite a variety of it and it compliments very well to their dishes. What's great is that it's unlimited. We all love that "unlimited" word. And did i mention the ambiance is great too?

One of my fave places to dine. It's a modern Korean restaurant. All of their dishes are superb, and i am not exagerting. You'd be craving for thier food once you get to try the.
Personal faves are samgyupsal, backribs, spicy chicken, bulgogi.
Prices are fair. Service is excellent.

We choose this hotel to celebrate our Birthday. Everything was perfect, the room was clean and odorless. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They also provide Birthday Cake.
The Hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool.
I highly recommend this hotel for a group of friends or family who wants to relax not a little far from the city of Shanghai. We will definitely come back again.

The location was good. Although it is in a back alley and not all drivers can find the place easily. But it is a short walk to the tube and train station. And there are also numerous buses that are short trips to the centre and the Forbidden city. The next door restaurant is quite convenient too. But there are many more options available on the main road. There are also banks nearby which was great for liquidity. The non-reception staff in particular were outstanding. But yes English might be a slight problem but nothing that Google translate can't solve.

The Imperial Mansion, Beijing
We, together with our son's family (with 3 young children) stayed in mid April. On arrival, in order to put us on the same floor, the manager upgraded both of our apartments to an executive apartment and a 2 bedroom apartment.
The apartments are very spacious and clean. The furnishing is of good quality. Very functional and pleasing. Both have a full kitchen with a good size fridge/freezer, coffee machine, cook top and even a rice cooker. A washing machine came in handy for the travelers.
The bathroom in both apartments was huge. It has a separate shower and separate toilet. Our grandchildren found it amazing to find a hidden television in the bathroom. Watching TV while having a bath. (Try and see if you can find the hidden television!)
All the staff were polite and professional. The reception staff speak adequate English to be helpful.
The location was really good. 5 minutes walk to the Wangfujing pedestrian precinct and to subway. There are many eateries (all price range) just within 10 minutes walking radius. It is so close to the food street where stalls sell all kinds of food, from potato chips on a stick to fried scorpions. Most visitors would make just one trip there, but since we were so close, the grandchildren went there 3 times, just to absorb the atmosphere.
Forbidden City is an easy 20 minutes walk ( can be quicker, if you do not have to dodge between other tourists and cars). Since it is so close, we got up early in the morning, strolled down to Tiananmen square before other tourists made it there.
There is only one restaurant in the hotel, serving breakfast and hotpot dinner. That is adequate, as there are many eateries close by. Breakfast had a good mix of Chinese and Western choices. Everyday, a few items would be changed from previous day's selection. The pastry was excellent (better than most of the pastry we had in good Australian hotels).
