Bhutan’s profound spiritual heritage.
Ascending the rugged terrain of Bhutan, I embarked on a transformative journey to discover the legendary Tiger's Nest monastery. Perched precariously at an altitude of 3000 meters above the Paro valley, its silhouette against the azure sky evoked a sense of mystique. Steeped in history, the monastery, constructed in 1692, resonates with the sacred presence of Guru Rinpoche, the revered Buddhist saint.
Legend intertwines with reality as I envisioned Guru Rinpoche's miraculous arrival, borne aloft by a tigress, to this hallowed site where he meditated in the seventh century. The name "Tiger's Nest" whispered through the wind, a testament to the enduring spiritual legacy enshrined within its walls. With each step, reverence intertwined with awe, forging an indelible connection to Bhutan's profound spiritual heritage.

The Hotel Plateau Rosa is a mountain hotel that offers cozy rooms with balcony with views of surrounding mountains. It is located 10 mins walk from Zermatt centre and 100 metres from Zermatt cable car, at the foot of the Matterhorn. They welcome us with chocolate. The room that we booked worth for value and we enjoyed our stay here.
Gwanaksan Mushroom Ridge
Originally, I intended to take the Hwagyesan Ridge route, but I took a wrong turn. However, I found this course to be even more thrilling and fun than Jawoonam, with its endless rocky ridges. It's even more enjoyable than the 6th peak, so please everyone, go check it out.
* Gwanaksan (Gwacheon-Sadang)
📍Take bus 5511 or 5513 from Exit 3 of Seoul National University Station - Get off at the Construction Comprehensive Research Institute (the trailhead is right in front of it) - Mushroom Rock Ridge - Yeonjudae (summit 629m) - Descend to Gwacheon Hyanggyo - Gwacheon Station (5km hike only)
* Total 3h 47m (including rest time),
Hiking 1h 50m + Descent 45m
▪️Enter the Hwagyesan Ridge side at the signpost where the Seoul National University Engineering Building course and Hwagyesan Ridge split.
▪️For detailed directions, refer to the map on the last page.
▪️No need to pass by the bus as most people get off at Seoul National University.
▪️Almost 95% rock course.
▪️Hiking boots and gloves recommended.
▪️There is no Gukgibong peak.
▪️Meets the Hwagyesan Ridge course halfway.
▪️Not a famous course, so you won't meet anyone. The path is well-maintained!
▪️Just climb up any rock you see; they are all part of the trail.

Tianmen Mountain, Gateway to Heaven
Just a cablecar ride away from Zhangjiajie, there is a Tianmen Mountain that is well famous for its serpentine road, catwalk around the mountain and Tianemn Cave, also known as Gateway to Heaven.
A cableride takes aprox. 20 minutes to reach teh top and in a ticket, there is also a shuttle bus down included (You can also buy 2-way cablecar ticket for additional 5 eur).
I would recommend taking half a day for the visit (Afternoon and wait until the sunset if weather is good) and to just explore the mountain all around.
There are restaurants with traditional chinese food up there, you can buy coffee, souvenirs, there is also a Burger King...

Japan’s most sacred mountain
Embarking on my journey to Koyasan, Japan, I discovered an extraordinary beauty that left me spellbound. The landscape, blanketed in pristine snow during my visit, transformed Koyasan into a winter wonderland. The iconic temples, adorned with delicate snowflakes, exuded a serene charm that was truly marvelous.
As I meandered through the enchanting cedar-lined paths, the ancient spirituality of the place enveloped me. The snowfall enhanced the ethereal atmosphere, making my experience nothing short of amazing. In the quietude of Okunoin Cemetery, adorned with countless moss-covered tombstones, a sense of reverence and history resonated. Koyasan's blend of nature and spirituality painted an unforgettable tableau, etching its beauty deep into my memory as one of the most mesmerizing places I have ever encountered.

The highest point on the island.
Perched atop Gunung Raya in Langkawi, I marveled at a breathtaking panorama. The ascent to the highest point on the island was rewarded with a captivating view that unfolded beneath me. A sea of emerald green rainforest stretched to the horizon, interrupted only by the occasional glimpse of distant waters.
The air, crisp and invigorating, carried whispers of the island's rich biodiversity. At the summit, I found myself surrounded by a serene stillness, a stark contrast to the lively ecosystems thriving below. The distant sounds of nature's symphony added to the enchantment of the moment. From Gunung Raya's summit, Langkawi's beauty revealed itself in all its glory, an unforgettable testament to nature's grandeur.

TITLIS - A MOUNTAIN OF ADVENTURE 😍
Hello, this mountain is stunning! Beautiful landscapes and what fresh air! Very clean environment! No littering. So to the trip:
1. Buy tickets at the SBB counter, huge like for selling tickets.
2. If you go to the Top make, step out and visit Trübsee! 3. Bring warm clothes - the Top Top part is very fresh 10 Celsius.
4. Bring food and drinks. You can bug drinks and Ice cream for much more cost then downstairs in Engelberg. 5. The restaurant is very crowded and the waiters in stress and give harsh feedback if you ask if you have a table for 2?
6. People up there are very respectful and friendly! The complete opposite from Pilatus visitors that shown a very disrespectful manner.
7. The Gondels are very clean. Very good in shape and maintained.
8. Souvenirs shop just closed when we wanted to step in at 14.00h that was a wired closing hour. Usually shops in Switzerland closing between 16.00 - 20.00h but not at 14.00h. We got our souvenirs in Engelberg shop.
9. The last Gondel that brings you to the top makes a 360 turn! Amazing you see all of the glacier Trübsee etc! 10. On top the hanging bridge: wonderful made, very safe! Picture opportunity provided.
11. Ice tunnel walk: amazing, not words - just beautiful! Flowers were frozen in blokes, beautiful lightings! Just wow!
12. I can truly recommend Titlis!

Best Decision to visit Mount Bromo
Visiting the live volcano, Mount Bromo, checked off my bucket list! We started the trip at 12:30am and reached the scenic spot at around 3:30am. Had some tea to warm up and also the guide gave us fried banana as well.
Once we are done, we quickly set off to find a great spot to wait for the sunrise. We were waiting at the spot at around 4am. We catches the sunrise around 4:40+? and then we took alot of photos there :) It was such a magnificent view!! I felt like I wasn’t at Earth for that few moments. Such amazing experience 🤍
It’s a once in a lifetime must-see place for everyone 🤍

My Laoshan mountain trip. Part 2.
The second time I visited Laoshan mountain with my family and unknowingly chose one of the most difficult area to climb - Jufeng 巨峰. We also got to the ticket office by metro. A road to the mountain took us about an hour. We get on the 4th subway line and reached the terminal station Dahedong 大河东. At the ticket office, I bought tickets for the Jufeng section. We get on a bus that took us directly to the lower station of the cable car. Just like the first time we bought tickets for cable car separately and the ticket office starts working from 8:30, so we had to wait a little.
The cable car here is much longer than on the Taiqing section. After you get off the cable car, you will climb to the second highest part of the mountain - Lingqi peak 灵旗峰 . Climbing here is definitely worth the effort. A beautiful view of the mountain awaits you. There is also a small bridge over the gorge and a small arbor with a magnificently view. Then you can choose to go back down to the cable car and take a walk around the hill. We chose the second option because this is the way. I can't say that the road is very difficult, but if you are not a sophisticated lover of walking up and down stairs, you will be hurt, hurt while walking, hurt the next day, and then another day etc. Anyway on your way you will meet many picturesque viewing platforms, but in my opinion the first one is the best, so if you choose a lazy path, you will not lose much. That's it. The whole trip also cost me 200rmb, 120 yuan for the entrance ticket and 80 yuan for the cable car round trip.

Conquering Mount Kinabalu!
Climbing Mount Kinabalu was a test of both physical and mental strength that I will never forget. From the very beginning, the odds seemed stacked against me. The flu had left me feeling weak and fatigued, and as I ascended higher, the symptoms worsened. AMS with its nausea and dizziness, added another layer of difficulty. Not being the fittest person in the group, I often lagged behind, struggling to keep up with my buddies. The steep and rocky terrain of the mountain was relentless, demanding endurance and determination I didnt know I possessed. Every step was a struggle, but I was determined to push through. Despite the hardships, the breathtaking views and the camaraderie with the fellow buddies kept me going. The sunrise from the summit was a reward beyond words, and the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. My climb up Mount Kinabalu was far from easy. However, it taught me that determination and sheer willpower can overcome even the most challenging cicumstances. It was an experience that tested my limits and left me with a profound sense of achievement and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

A Must Do Hike in Ella, Little Adam's Peak
🇱🇰
Named after the sacred mountain Adam's Peak, the 1141-metre Little Adam’s Peak is a pyramidal-shaped hill located in the tea country hill city, Ella, Sri Lanka. It is the most popular hiking spot in Ella due to its relatively easy climb and spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from the peak.
The trailhead starts next to Ravana Pool Club located about 4 km to the south-east of Ella town centre. It can be easily reached by hiring a tuk-tuk. Our family took about 30 minutes to reach the peak. It is better to set out early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the scorching sun. We spent some time at the peak taking pictures while admiring the beauty of Ella.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
This place was unbelievable and felt unreal to look at. I was nervous about the hike at first but glad I went ahead with it! We rented a jacket and was great they had that service available. I'd get hot and then cold at times so alternated between taking it off and putting it back on. There were plenty of places to stop during the hike up which was great. You could take a seat on a bench or sit on a step for a while. The canisters were definitely needed for me and I went through around 3-4. There were sold there too! It was a great experience and I felt good for accomplishing it! 😊#mountain
A Memorable Hike in Benguet 🇵🇭
#timetotravel
Mount Ugo is located in Benguet which has an elevation of 2,200 meters above sea level. This isn't an easy trail to hike. Easily one of the most difficult especially if you are just a beginner. It is a long journey to the mountains of Cordilleras from Metro Manila but once you see the beauty of the nature up in the summit, it will feel lile everything is worth it. It requires 2 days and 1 night to reach the summit so you have to camp which is an experience itself. Amazing experience overall.
PS. You need to acquire a hiking certificate from a baranggay hall and they will arrange a tour guide for you. Make sure you are equipped with proper clothing. It gets cold at night so pack a jacket or a light coat with you.
Enjoy!

Amazing Banzai mountain
Banzai Mountain in Guangzhou is an absolute gem that shouldn't be missed if you find yourself in this vibrant city. As someone who enjoys nature and breathtaking views, I couldn't resist the opportunity to hike up this magnificent mountain.

Hiking in Sapa During Winter
As I stepped foot in the enchanting town of Sapa during the tail end of winter season, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the landscape that surrounded me. The rice terraces were blanketed in thick fog, making the area look mystical.
Eager to explore this landscape, my friends and I decided to hire a hiking guide to navigate the trails. Our guide was a local Hmong lady with an infectious passion for the mountains. With her guidance, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure through the slippery rice terraces and valleys.
Every step we took revealed breathtaking vistas of jagged mountains piercing through the clouds. Our guide shared stories of her childhood and job, offering glimpses into the rich cultural heritage of the ethnic minority tribes inhabiting the region. She also had lunch with us, at a restaurant in her village. The food was simple, but delicious.
Hiking in Sapa during winter was a true test of endurance, but the rewards were immeasurable. The solitude and serenity found in nature, combined with the companionship of our guide and fellow trekkers, made this an unforgettable experience.
