Amazing museum in Japan 🇯🇵
#cherryblossom2024
Just got back from an inspiring spring vacation in Kanazawa, Japan, where I had the pleasure of visiting the Yoshiro and Yoshio Taniguchi Museum of Architecture, and let me tell you, it was a captivating journey through the world of architectural innovation! 🏛️🌸 Tucked away in the bustling city center, this museum is a testament to the visionary work of the Taniguchi brothers.
The entrance fee was quite reasonable, making it accessible to all visitors. 🎟️💰 As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by the sight of stunning architectural models, sketches, and photographs, showcasing the Taniguchi brothers' groundbreaking designs from around the world.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the museum's interactive exhibits, which allowed me to gain insight into the creative process behind each architectural masterpiece. 🏗️✨ From iconic museums and cultural centers to sleek skyscrapers and serene gardens, every structure was a marvel of modern design.
After immersing myself in the world of architecture, I decided to explore some nearby attractions. Just a short walk away, I found the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, where I was treated to a diverse collection of contemporary artworks and installations. 🖼️🎨 I also made sure to visit the Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan's most beautiful landscaped gardens, where I wandered among cherry blossoms and tranquil ponds. 🌸🏞️
In between sightseeing, I took some time to relax and enjoy the local cuisine. There were plenty of charming cafes and restaurants nearby where I could sample Kanazawa's famous seafood dishes and savor some freshly brewed green tea. 🍣🍵
Overall, my visit to the Yoshiro and Yoshio Taniguchi Museum of Architecture was a highlight of my trip to Kanazawa, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an appreciation for innovative design and creative vision. 🇯🇵✨ #TaniguchiMuseum #Kanazawa #Architecture #Innovation #JapanTravel 🏛️🌸

Temple of Poseidon at Sunset
Amazing experience! I booked an excursion to visit the Temple Of Poseidon at sunset! I was blown away by how magical watching the sunset was right from the temple!
There are quite long queues to get your ticket to enter but once you do there is lots of space for people to take their photographs with the sunset backdrop!
Last entry in spring is 7:15pm so ensure that you have your tickets at the ready before the but off time so that you don’t miss out!
There is a bar/restaurant and also a souvenir shop at the entrance to the temple.
I would 100% recommend visiting this attraction! If you can, at sunset!

The Creative Nanliao Stairway
#winhkflight
Address: Xingang Rd, North District, Hsinchu City, Taiwan 300.
Highlights: The Nanliao Stairway is a pleasant spot to spend the evening watching the sunset, fly a kite, or sip a coffee. This is a mix of a commercial fishing harbour and a tourist spot. With a little effort you can be on the sand.
It’s not the kind of beach to swim or sunbathe on but nice to a walk. I’m constantly impressed with the upgrades to the environment. Most recently an area for food stands has been added.
I want to travel to Hong Kong as I'm excited to dip my toes in the cool waters and collect seashells along the picturesque coastline of Hong Kong's beaches.

Impressive Harp-Shaped Bridge
#winhkflight
Address: No. 35, Lane 320, Section 5, Zhonghua Rd, Xiangshan District, Hsinchu City, Taiwan 300 .
Highlights: The Xiangshan Harp Bridge is a bridge over the freeway that leads to the coastal walk. The bridge and other structures are nicely built and provide a good photo opportunity as the sunsets. There are some basic facilities including parking and a library (which I guess contains a toilet when it's open).
You might find that you're competing for space if you're planning to use a tripod. The costal path over the bridge is ok but far from the most beautiful section. As with much of this part of the coast, it can get windy so bring a jacket for when the sun goes down.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to explore the futuristic architecture of cultural landmarks and iconic structures in Hong Kong.

Myth me in Athens🇬🇷
📌”The Erechtheion" or Temple of Athena Polias
📍Address: Acropolis of Athens, Athens 105 58, Greece
Erechtheion is an ancient Greek temple located on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens. It is one of the most significant and distinctive buildings on the Acropolis and is renowned for its architectural elegance and historical significance. The temple was dedicated to Athena Polias, Poseidon, and Erechtheus, a legendary Athenian king. This porch is supported by six female figures, known as Caryatids, instead of traditional columns. One of the original Caryatids was removed and is now housed in the Acropolis Museum, while the others have been replaced with replicas to preserve them from further damage. Today, the Erechtheion is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors from around the world who come to admire its architectural beauty and learn about its rich history and cultural significance within the context of ancient Greece.

A journey through time and culture.
In Roskilde, Denmark, a city steeped in history, my visit was a journey through time and culture. The Viking Ship Museum, nestled by the harbor, offered a glimpse into the seafaring past with its remarkable 11th-century vessels and bustling boatyard. Walking through the city center, the imposing Gothic architecture of Roskilde Cathedral captivated me, housing the resting place of Danish monarchs across the ages.
A short distance away, the Museum of Contemporary Art, housed within a regal mansion, provided a modern contrast to the city's rich heritage. Venturing westward, the expansive Land of Legends open-air museum transported me back to the eras of the Stone Age and Viking civilization, offering an immersive experience of ancient life. Roskilde, a city of contrasts and timelessness, left an indelible mark on my travels.

The love story behind the Taj Mahal.
Standing before the Taj Mahal, I was enveloped in a sense of awe and reverence. The ethereal beauty of its white marble facade gleamed under the golden rays of the sun, casting a spellbinding aura. As I stepped through the grand entrance, intricate details adorned every inch, telling the story of undying love and exquisite craftsmanship.
Walking along the manicured gardens, I marveled at the symmetrical perfection that surrounded me, each element meticulously designed to create harmony and balance. Inside the mausoleum, the air was thick with solemnity, yet infused with a lingering sense of love that transcended time.
Gazing upon the tombs of Shah Jahan and his beloved Mumtaz Mahal, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of reverence for their enduring love immortalized in stone. Truly, the Taj Mahal is a testament to the power of love and the pinnacle of architectural brilliance.

The most beautiful city in Switzerland.
Visiting Lucerne was like stepping into a fairytale. The preserved medieval architecture against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and Lake Lucerne created a mesmerizing scene. Wandering through the ancient town, I marveled at the blend of history and modernity. The ramparts, quaint pubs, and stylish hotels of the Belle Époque added to the city's charm.
The deep blue lake mirrored the grandiose mountains, enhancing the romantic atmosphere. Everywhere I looked, there was beauty and elegance. Whether strolling along the lakefront promenade or exploring the narrow cobblestone streets of the old town, Lucerne captivated me with its timeless allure. It's a place where history comes alive, and every corner holds a story waiting to be discovered.

Seattle Vibes: A City With Small Town Charm
Seattle was my starting point on my second trip to America and it’s one hell of a place to start! Despite being quite a big city, parts of it had a small-town feel and I loved it!
Here’s what I loved about Seattle:
1️⃣ Kerry Park - A small park at the top of some steep residential hills. The skyline views of Seattle are incredible from here. Also, the neighborhood is pretty affluent and beautiful to walk around.
2️⃣ Pike Place Market - An icon of Seattle and a must-see if you are visiting the city. You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to food and merchandise!
3️⃣ Bainbridge Island - A 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle and you’ll find yourself in the peace and quiet of Bainbridge Island! There’s a quaint town full of shops and restaurants as well as many walking trails! As a bonus, the ferry ride from Seattle will give you spectacular views of the city!
4️⃣ City Walking - I love tackling cities on foot and Seattle is a great place to do this. As I mentioned, it has small-town feel and I loved discovering new streets and neighborhoods. Old brick buildings, trams, and hilly streets make Seattle a very picturesque city!
5️⃣ Chinatown - I live in Shanghai so I love visiting Chinatowns in other countries. Chinatown Seattle is by no means the best Chinatown I’ve been to but it’s worth a visit. Seattle is a pricy city and you’ll find yourself some cheap eats here. I managed to find breakfast steam-buns for 60c per bun!
I hope you enjoy your time in Seattle as much as I did!

3️⃣The Golden Gate Bridge - Whether you walk or cycle, crossing The Golden Gate Bridge is a must! You’ll find excellent viewpoints on both sides!
4️⃣Little Italy - A beautiful area that really comes to life at dusk. There are a plethora of Italian restaurants and cafes for you to feast in! If you’re after a good sandwich check out “Molinari Delicatessen”
5️⃣Chinatown - One of the best Chinatowns I have been to! There’s lots of Chinese culture to explore and hills cut through the area so you can get some great pictures of the city with the Bay Bridge in the distance!

Tanjung Bungah Floating Mosque@Penang
Very few would have notice this unique architecture along their way towards the beach in Batu Ferringhi; introducing the one and only Floating Mosque of Penang. Constructed in 2003 with the cost of MYR15 million, it was officially opened to the public in January 2005 that can accommodate to 1,500 worshippers.
Though the name is floating mosque, it is actually built on stilts when only at high tide it would appeared to look like the mosque is floating on water, a charm ain’t it?😊

Whispers of calm along the Mekong river
Enchanting Luang Prabang, nestled at the confluence of the majestic Mekong River and the tranquil Nam Khan, weaves a spell with its UNESCO-protected heritage and timeless allure. This captivating Laotian gem is a must-visit for travelers seeking serenity and splendor.
The perfect place to explore ancient temples adorned with intricate mosaics, to visit the Mount Phousi with its panoramic vistas, to enjoy the slow pace of life along the Mekong banks drinking a coffee at the sunset. But luang prabang is much more: I suggest to explore the labyrinthine lanes of the old town, where French colonial architecture mingles seamlessly with traditional Lao houses, each adorned with vibrant bougainville.
Luang Prabang is more than a beautiful town: it represents the art of slowing down, appreciating the simple things, and connecting with the rhythm of life itself.

Located near the southern part of Singapore, this beautiful church has a long history having been built in the mid-1920s. It is the only building in Singapore featuring the Romano-Byzantine style, defined by the use of grand domes, cupolas and arches. This design was inspired by the architecture of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Montmartre, Paris, France. It is definitely a marvellous sight to behold!
Since 2009, it has been gazetted as one of Singapore’s National Monuments for its rich heritage and astounding architecture. While exploring the grounds, you get to see different gardens with intricate sculptures. At the back of the main hall are also colourful panels of stained glass windows. If you enjoy admiring grand buildings like these, this is one I highly recommend visiting!
