#CreationIncentiveSchemeShareTenThousandCash This hidden gem of a British seaside spot—I won't let anyone go unnoticed! Tucked away on England's east coast lies the charming seaside town of Folkestone. Located near Dover, Folkestone serves as a vital port between the UK and continental Europe. It boasts unique mountain and ocean views and a rich history and culture. Whether strolling along the beach to soak in the sea breeze, exploring unique art installations, or savoring delicious food in its streets and alleys, this place promises an unforgettable travel experience. Historical Heritage: Stories Stories Passed Through Time In the early 20th century, Folkestone was a thriving port, attracting royalty and the British elite. Renowned author Agatha Christie wrote the classic "Murder on the Orient Express" at the Grand Hotel, and King Edward VII also frequently vacationed here, lending the town a mystique. A small, two-story museum in the town center recounts its history of shipping links with continental Europe and its role as a haven for refugees and immigrants during periods of port saturation. Natural Scenery: Romance Between Sea and Mountain Folkestone's beaches are tranquil and captivating. Standing on the cliffs, you can enjoy the sea breeze and sweeping views of the European continent. Strolling along the coastline, the colorful houses, interspersed with small parks, create a truly soothing landscape. Heading east, Sunny Beach comes into view. The sand is soft at low tide, but high tide offers a completely different scene. Continuing uphill, you'll reach Warren National Park, offering panoramic views of the entire coastline. At sunset, the sky is tinted orange-red, and the white cliffs are a stunning sight in the afterglow. The Kent coast offers excellent golf courses, and the nearby Tringham Vineyards offer tours and tastings for wine lovers. Artistic Vibe: Creativity in the Streets Folkestone is like an open-air art museum, with graffiti and murals everywhere. The vibrant atmosphere of these works is so captivating that even those with limited experience can be captivated by their vitality. Richard Woods' "Holiday Home" art installation, nestled in the water, seamlessly blends with the natural landscape, inviting interactive interpretation. At the end of the pier, the sculpture "Folkestone Mermaid on Sunny Beach," created by renowned British artist Cornelia Parker, stands quietly. Outside the train station, a 55-meter-long blue splash mosaic wall, composed of handprints from community members, showcases the town's cohesiveness. A Culinary Feast: A Taste of the Taste A visit to Folkestone is a must-try for seafood. The Harbour Inn, Chummys open-air seafood stall, Sandy's Fish and Chip Shop, and Rocksalt Restaurant are all excellent options. Enjoy fresh oysters and crispy fried fish while admiring the sea views. Goodsyard Market offers a large outdoor screen and seating area for a snack after a long day of shopping. The Dessert Folkes' vanilla cones are a sweet and delicious way to end your trip. Travel Tips: Travel Guide 🚊 Transportation: Take a direct train from London King's Cross Station to Folkestone Central Station, which takes about an hour. 🎫 Visiting Time: Recommended departure time: 10:00 AM, return time: 6:00 PM. If you plan to stay within the area or eat locally, you can book earlier. Tickets can be booked through the trip.com app; there's no booking fee. From July 19 to October 19, 2025, the highly anticipated Folkestone Triennial will return. It will showcase street art masterpieces by masters like Banksy, and the town is also offering a customized "Art Lover's Weekend" experience.

The Old Door Bar is located on New Dover Road in Canterbury. It is a relatively large bar that is open until late every night. In fact, in addition to being a bar, it is also a Western barbecue restaurant, which is very lively even during the day. The barbecue here is highly recommended, with fresh ingredients, a wide variety, reasonable prices, and thoughtful service. It is very pleasant to eat barbecue and drink beer here.

📖Route: Start from London Bridge. Today, there are many delays due to the train block, but the basic route is to take the southeast line to Ashford international. After arriving at the station, remember to take the bus to Cantebury West. The bus will take about half an hour. The journey takes about 2.5 hours, so be sure to relax and slow down. ✅Must-visit attractions: I chose to waste half a day here because the first lesson of English literature in my undergraduate studies was Chaucer's Cantebury Tales, which seemed to take me back to the university classroom nearly 20 years ago. This is a fairy-tale medieval town. Even without any background, there are relaxing points at every step. You can order a cup of coffee at a cafe to relax, stop at some interesting souvenir shops, take some back if you can, and find a bench directly to gradually slow down your irritable heart in a slightly cold but artistic environment. 🍜Must-eat food: I recommend a small shop called Tiny Tims Tearoom. Order a British afternoon tea and spend some time listening to piano playing. It is good enough to taste it by yourself without letting your phone eat first. For Chinese people, there is a supermarket near the station at the entrance of the castle, which has many Asian delicacies (many kinds of instant noodles! Definitely satisfy you!) 🏠Accommodation recommendation: Since we came from the city of London, we did not have accommodation, but we saw Hilton by Hampton, so the basic quality should be guaranteed. ✏️Practical Tips: It is affordable to buy tickets with Trainpal. If you have plenty of time and like to walk around freely, don't join a group! It is convenient and saves money to come by yourself! #European Town Exploration #Canterbury, UK

This is a very large indoor lobster farm. The lobsters raised here are beyond our imagination. All the lobsters are raised in plastic baskets. They are very large and taste almost the same as wild lobsters, but the price is much cheaper. After seeing this, I wonder if the lobsters we usually eat are raised like this. It's really incredible.
