SophiaSophie's Travel Notes on France The town of Fountain in Provence, South France, is one of the ten most beautiful towns in France. The spring water here is transparent and clear. Due to the good water quality, a large number of aquatic plants have grown underwater. In order to protect the cleanliness of this water source, the French who love to go into the water in summer also hold back. So finding a restaurant by the spring to eat and chat with coffee has become the main activity for the French in the town of Fountain. Among them, Les Terrasses Bar and Cafe, which is right by the spring, can still bring a comfortable coolness even if you come to eat at noon in midsummer without air conditioning. I ordered steak, lasagna and a French heavy-tasting food Andouillette pig offal intestines. This kind of food is really only available in a small number of French restaurants. It is not as common as raw beef tartare in French restaurants. This is a bit like large intestine wrapped in small intestine, that is, the pig large intestine and some offal are stuffed into the pig casing, and then baked~ The taste is very hard to describe, the taste is chewy and has a strong taste of offal. I believe that only those who appreciate it will get used to it. Overall, the food in this restaurant is not that good, but the view is really nice. I suggest you come here during afternoon tea time and order a 3 Euro cup of coffee to relax.

Michel and William put a lot of effort into preparing the food and it shows. I enjoy the patio setting but the weather was not cooperating so we sat inside. Still very enjoyable.

Unfortunately both of the items were gone from the menu at the restaurant. We 0rdered the sliced beef on arugula, and although tasty, the meat was a bit tough in spots. But overall, a nice re staurant.

When both enjoyed a bottle of rose wine and sparkling water. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will recommend a visit if you’re in the area.
