We decided to have lunch outside, though a very hot summer day, and we had great time in the backyard, thanks to the shadow of the trees and fresh air. Maybe a little difficult to reach, this deep-country restaurant deserves to be found. Exquisite dishes in their finest form, very refined place.

I recommend to visit the museum first and afterwards to enjoy an unforgettable dinner. We expected to see a number of their own made arts but the variety and beauty made us speechless. What we have not expected but were more than surprised is exceptional service of the staff. The food is brilliant while being paired by a huge wine book (not list), making the whole occasion memorable. Thank you so much for this fantastic evening.

A calm atmosphere on this Saturday was a welcome change; the service was efficient and attentive; the food was generous and met our expectations. The dishes were simple but very well-executed. Exactly what we were looking for.

Delightful experience. We were a bit late, speak almost no French and one of our group wasn’t able to make it. They were still very accommodating and we had a fantastic lunch. I don’t even like fish and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice evening with very polite staff. All courses had a lot of detail and there were surprisingly many (11) courses. It was hence quite opulent. A real food journey. There was a clear Japanese flavor theme in most courses. Many dishes also featured fruity/ fermentation acidity, which felt a bit much at times. The cigar smoke flavored dessert was unique.

Table was reserved for 7.30pm for an 80th birthday meal and starter only arrived 50 minutes later. I had to ask for bread rather than have this provided given the long wait time. We were one of only 4 tables in the main restaurant but focus seemed to be on tables outside in the beer garden. My main meal was bland and my friends says theirs was just ok. Wine was good. The waitress came at 9.10pm (just 50 minutes after our main meal eventually arrived) and announced that the kitchen was already closed so we could not order dessert! Add to this the face that we were opposite stables and had to constantly swat lots of flies from crawling on our food. Such a disappointment for what was meant to be a special occasion

What a charming little find! We were on our way to the Baden airport from Paris and wanted that last little taste of France before going back home. We found this restaurant and although its rating wasn’t super high, it was the most convenient place to stop. I don’t understand why it has less than 9/10. Everyone was so helpful and the food was so delightful, I think this place deserves at least a 9/10 if not more. We had the most quintessential, light, fluffy quiche and a classic young boat as our main meal, we finished off with a lovely crème brûlée and tarte aux pommes. Simply sweet! Would go back even if it is a bit off the beaten track.

Everything was great. My father fell there, and the staff immediately came over and wanted to help. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, with a huge selection and everything tasted amazing. I'll definitely be back. Thank you so much.

#Lie in the mountains and rivers #Good places for outbound travel #New attractions #Where to go on weekends #Discover the colors of the journey Ten years later, I returned to Saarbrucken, a city on the southwestern border of Germany. It was once controlled by the Prussians, then incorporated into France, and in 1935, voters decided to rejoin Germany through a referendum. Walking across the nearly 500-year-old ancient stone bridge across the Saar River, on the right is the opera house built by Hitler's order (Figure 2). Gasthaus Zahm is a German-French restaurant, and the pattern on the store sign resembles "Kong Yiji" [Chin] (Figure 3). The fried fish sticks in Figure 4 are unexpectedly crispy, tender and fresh 😋😋, and the taste is quite Chinese [StarEyes][StarEyes][StarEyes]. Although it is an appetizer, a full bowl is very satisfying to eat. Who said there is no delicious food in Germany? ! [Happy][Awesome] 🍽Recommended dining: Gasthaus Zahm: Saarstraße 6, 66111, Saarbrucken 👍Most recommended: Friture fried fish, 8.5 euros fischsuppe fish soup, 17.5 euros 📝Note tips: The above are all starters, women can eat them directly as main dishes [Grin][Grin]

Clean restaurant if a bit on the chilly side. Good service. Not a wide menu - on the day things advertised outside the restaurant were not available. What we had however was good.

🏰 Historical traces: Baroque pearls and steel past On the banks of the Saar River on the German-French border, Saarbrücken is like an open history book, waiting for travelers to read it. This city with a thousand-year history was once known as the "German Steel Heart" because of its coal and steel industry, but now it has captured people's hearts with its soft Baroque style. Ludwig Church: Germany's most authentic Baroque Protestant church, the pinnacle of Stangl, the sun shines through the stained glass windows, casting mottled light and shadows on the carved altar. Saarbrücken Castle: The ruins of the 18th-century royal palace, climb the tower to overlook the whole city, the Saar River winds like a blue ribbon, and the red tiles of the old city and the glass curtain walls of the new building are interwoven into a dialogue between time and space. Historical imprints: The stone bridge across the Saar River (1546), the Gothic Saint-Arnoult Church, and the legend of France's 15-year trusteeship after the Treaty of Versailles, let every brick and stone hide a story. 🇫🇷 French romance: lazy time in the little Paris on the border "In Germany, it feels like being in France"-the unique charm of Saarbrücken comes from the cultural immersion of the Napoleonic era. Wandering in the old French streets: trams jingle by, the aroma of croissants floats in the windows, and locals bask in the sun with coffee next to the fountain in the Town Hall Square, as if they are leisurely on the left bank of Paris. Recommended restaurants: 🍷 Chez David: A Michelin-recommended French bistro, snails and Burgundy beef served with Pinot Noir, full of romance. 🍣 Hashimoto: German-Japanese fusion cuisine, salmon sashimi and German pork knuckle collide to create wonderful sparks. 🍕 Diner Pizza & Pasta: Authentic Italian kiln-baked pizza, cheese shreds instantly heal the taste buds. 🎶 Carnival time: Summer carnival at the Saar-Spektakel Music Festival Every August, the banks of the Saar River turn into a carnival for 300,000 people! Water wonders: dragon boat racing, scuba diving, torch night tours, the Saar River turns into an adventure park. Star lineup: From Nena to Blue Band, rock, electronic, and pop take turns bombarding, and the riverside stage roars all night. Fireworks show: At the end of the festival, thousands of fireworks bloom in the night sky, reflected in the river, and draw the stars with the glow sticks in the hands of the audience. 🌿 Spirit of Nature: Saar Ring and Forest Secrets Walk out of the old town and the beauty of nature is within reach. Saar Ring (Saarschleife): The U-shaped river valley is known as the "most curved river bay in Germany". The hiking trail passes through the forest and overlooks the "green heart" surrounded by clear water. Schlossberg Caves: The largest sandstone cave in Europe, with red rock walls burning like flames. After the adventure, you can enjoy a glass of cider at the mountaintop cafe. Seasonal activities: Cycling through cherry trees in spring, picking apples and making moonshine in autumn, and the scent of cinnamon at the Christmas market in winter. 🎭 Cultural tour: from theater to street art Saarbrücken's literary DNA is hidden in every corner. National Theater (Staatstheater): One of the oldest theaters in Germany, where Shakespeare's plays and avant-garde experimental plays are performed on the same stage. European Computer Center: Visit Saarland University and Max Planck Institute to feel the technological pulse of the "City of AI". Street Art: In the alleys of the old city, graffiti murals and Baroque reliefs "dialogue", and students often perform impromptu performances with guitars in cafes. 📅 Itinerary suggestions Classic one-day tour: Walk in the old town → Ludwigskirche → Saarbrücken Castle → Saar-Spektakel Music Festival (Summer only) → French dinner In-depth experience: Day1: Historical site tour + cave exploration Day2: Saar Ring hike + University technology tour Day3: Music festival carnival/winter Christmas market Saarbrücken, a "hybrid" of German and French culture, has both the weight of history and the laziness of southern France. Here, every step can echo the echo of time, and every breath is stained with the aura of art and nature. 🌍 Let's go! Let the wind of the Saar River blow away all the fatigue of travel.
