Nanaimo's best sushi restaurant, no doubt, has a wide variety of sashimi, and the shapes are appetizing, and it's so quiet and beautiful no matter how you take pictures. The sushi rolls are very large, and I like their grilled oysters and lobsters.

The Unsworth Vineyard, located in the heart of Vancouver Island's wine country, is so beautiful in the spring. The flowers in the garden and the aroma of wine are intoxicating. Leave the winery and drive 1 hour to Nanaimo. Nanaimo is the second largest city on Vancouver Island and an important transportation hub and material evacuation site for Vancouver Island and the North American continent. From here, you can take a boat to Vancouver and Whistler. We didn't stay in Nanaimo for long. We only had time for lunch, and then rushed to the port to take a boat to Whistler. Lunch was at Milton Street Public House, an old private house with some interesting decorations in the house, such as the skeleton couple, and the "tattoo" photos of Hepburn and Monroe. The pub is very warm, there are not many seats, and it feels like home. Restaurant: Milton Street Public House Address: 247 Milton Street Nanaimo, BC, V9R 2K5

Bowen Island is a tranquil and charming island located in Howe Sound near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, only about 1 hour away from downtown Vancouver. There are about 4,000 residents living on the island, covering an area of about 50 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of over 80%. It is known as the "Pearl of Howe Sound". Bowen Island is famous for its tranquil environment, rich outdoor activities and unique artistic atmosphere, and is known as one of the best day trips and vacation destinations in Vancouver. ☘️Important attractions and activities Bowen Island has rich natural landscapes and diverse activities for different types of tourists. Here are some highlights: 🏖️Macdonald Beach Park: Close to the island's main ferry terminal, Snug Cove. This is an easily accessible beach park suitable for walking, picnics and sea views. 🏝️Snug Cove: This is the heart of Bowen Island, where the ferry stops. There are various shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries here, which is a good place to feel the atmosphere of island life. You can find unique artworks, handicrafts and souvenirs here. 🏕️Katherine Lake Provincial Park (Crippen Regional Park & Killarney Lake): This is the largest park on the island, with dense forests and beautiful Catherine Lake. You can hike along the trails around the lake, or swim and canoe in the lake. There is also an observation deck in the park, where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the bay. Killarney Lake Loop is recommended, which is a 9-kilometer lake trail that offers lake and mountain scenery and abundant wildlife along the way. ⛵️Dorman Point Provincial Park: Located at the northern end of the island, it has a magnificent view of Howe Sound. There are short hiking trails here, which offer stunning views of the bay and surrounding mountains, especially at sunrise or sunset. 🏃🏻♂️Hiking routes: There are many well-maintained hiking trails on the island, suitable for hiking enthusiasts of different levels. You can choose to stroll along the coastline or explore deep into the forest. Popular hiking routes include the trail to the top of Mount Gardner, which has magnificent views but is more challenging, and the easy trail in Crippen Park, which is suitable for those with less physical strength. 🏄🏻♂️Kayaking and water activities: The waters around Bowen Island are calm and beautiful, perfect for water activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. You can rent equipment or join a guided tour on the island. 🚢How to get to the island 1. Ferry Take the BC Ferries ferry from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, the journey takes about 20 minutes, and there is one ferry every hour. 2. Although there is no regular service, you can choose to rent a water taxi from Vancouver to Bowen Island, which is suitable for tourists seeking a flexible itinerary. Bowen Island Sea Safari or Cooper Boating, departing from Granville Island in Vancouver, is a 45-minute direct trip, suitable for tourists without cars (reservations are required) or group charters. 🥘Food Recommendation ☕️The Snug Café is located in Snug Bay and offers delicious breakfast and coffee. It is a great place to experience the local atmosphere. 🍤Bowen Island Pub has fresh seafood and local specialties, suitable for enjoying a leisurely island meal. Bowen Island is the "backyard" of Vancouver people. You can embrace the forest, the ocean and the slow time without traveling far. It has a strong sense of history, good taste, simple environment, and average service. It is worth a visit.
